In the Ladies' Tournament Scene, Mary
Lynn Telford has consistently placed at
Bayfield, Meaford, Kincardine and Scenic
City. Also at Bayfield and Scenic City,
Ellen Connelly and Marg Stoddard pet/
formed well,. Shirley Baechler teamed up
with Mary Lynn at Kincardine to place.
Not to be outdone, the Juniors travelled
to -Seaforth and watched as Mike Beange.

In the Mixed Two -Ball, Paul Baechler
and Ruth Keene took first and Larry

Bert Corbett, low net. Harold Refflinghaus
secured third flight low gross and Kirk
Livingstone, low net.
Kathy MacDonald won low gross in,first
flight at Ladies' Night and Joyce Bolton
won low net. Evy McDonagh claimed low
gross in second flight. In third, Mar, Lynn
Telford won low gross and low net. was
taken by Ruth Bushell. In fdurth flight',
Betty Fuller won low gross.

Canada Day was celebrated at the
Goderich lawn bowling club with the Vic-
toria and Grey National Trust tournament.
The draw was looked after by Harry
Williams and ths, following were the
Winners:
First prize went to Lou Condari and ,his
partner of St. Marys, winning 40 silver
dollars; second prize went to Mr. and Mrs.
Art Finlayson, Seaforth; third prize was
won by Brad Fleming and partner, Port
Elgin; Fourth prize went to Mr. and Mrs.
Hnr" y Metall"TM rli.,tnn• Fifth prize
was also won by a Clinton team of Walter
Newcombe and partner; Sixth went to T.
Emery and partner and Stuart Bryan§
picked up the consolation.
Lunch was served by Agnes McEwen
and her committee of Norma Iiaziitt and
Irene White.
A ladies pairs tournament is scheduled
for Tuesday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. with a
pot luck luncheon at noon.
On Saturday July 19 at 7 p.m. a mixed
pairs tournament is being held.
Bruno's bashes Double
Blue as Pollock homers
' On June 30, Hot Shots won a close game
over Bruno's 10-7. Jody Hoy, Cheryl Smith,
and Nancy Francis led the winners with
three hits apiece.
Go-4-Ettes came from behind to double -
up Not Much 8-4. Kim Austin and Barb Ot-
tewell had a . home run each for the
winners.
Double Blue scored six runs in the sixth
inning, but still fell short in their defeat to
Samuelson's 10-9. Anita Bartliff had a
three for three night at the plate for the
winners.
On Thursday July 3, there was 'a great
game between Oldtimers and Night ,Owls
• as the Oldtimers came out on top 6 -.'Glen-
da Cornish.had two hits for the winners.
At St. Mary's Diamond, the Nile scored
all their runs in the late innings on. hits
`from Noreen Kerr, , as they doubled
Meneset by a score of 8-4.
Go-4-Ettes won their second game of the
week this time against Sifto 9-3. Kim
Austin went three for three at the plate for
the winners.
On Sunday July 6, Oldtimers snapped
Samuelson's winning streak by defeating
them 13-3. Libby Schultz had a perfect day
at the plate,as she hit three for three, one
being a long home run.
Night Owls had a close match with Hot
Shots as they came out on top 16-14. Dale
Robertson, Dianne Glousher, Lyn. Rumig
and Kerry Middle supplied the hitting for
.the, wisulers. With :three •kits. apiece., , ..
Bruno's 'walked' a'Geay with"a victory as
they hammered Double Blue $1-5. Bonita
Pollock banged out three home runs and
Joanne Turner arse did well, slugging two
' home runs for the winners.
