Ministry of Community and Social Ser-

Canada Day Celebration races were held
just before the fireworks at the harbor last

The three racers "with first place were
Mark Fischer of Goderich, Gil Boyd of
Goderich and PaulMcKee of Bayfield. The
Ladies Class saw Carol MacEwan of
Goderich take three firsts to continue her
dominance of the class.
Membership in the new club is now over
25 members 'and growing. The regular
reeds on Wednesday evening saw Gil
Boyd of Goderich take the number one
position holding on through all of the races.
Close behind was Carol MacEwan to take
second in the overall and first in the ladies.
Consistency prevailed as Paul Castle
picked up three thirds in the overall. Tory
MacDonald placed second in the ladies in
each race with Chris Grafton slipping in
for third. Bernie Wiehle, also Goderich,
took third.plate in the men's class.

Jean Bell, Rosemarie Evans, Jean Knight,
Auleen Curry, Pat Tyndall and Gwen
Trebish.

The West WaWanosh Warriors Ladies ,
Fastball Team outplayed the Goderich
Elevators last week downing them with a
9-6decision.
Joyce Thompson pitched a strong game
allowing only 6 Elevator hits in seven inn-
ing*. Janice Daer led the Warriors offen-
sively with two hits.
The Elevators were plagued by errors as
Denise Mitchelmore threw a 3 hitter for
the loss. Louise Brown and Barb Petrie
had two hits each for the Elevators.
