Public Meetings
Shoreline Management Review
The Government of Ontario has established the Shoreline Man-
agement Review Committee for the purpose of seeking public
opinions and suggestions on the Tong -term options for the
management of shorelines of the Great Lakes in Ontario.
The Committee will examine the options and make recommen-
dations on:
• the rolesand responsibilities of the private sector, various
levels of the government and shoreline landowners;
• preventing the creation of new shoreline problerns;
• solving existing problems in built-up areas;
• providing assistance during emergency situations.
The Committee will also make recommendations to the Province
on how the Province may better interact with the Governments of
Canada and the United States in the management of the Great
Lakes system.

make written and/or oral presentations at the meetings which are
