BROOKSIDE
BROADCAST
The Grade 2 class at Brookside Public
School is still exploring animals - tadpoles,
in fact, thanks to Tammy!
They're setting up a frog center with
books, filmstrips, a "tadpole tank" and a
learning game made by Mrs. McDowell.
They're also working on a Bookworm unit,
reading books theyenjoy and working on
book activities - books, books, books! Tony
Stecca and Matt Thomson are the "Special
Me".
This week in Miss Mather's Grade 1 class
there was a visitor. Deb Heslinga talked
about dinosaurs. The class wrote a story
called, "Dinosaur Stew". They are also
learning about money. They have been play-
ing store and are now ready to help their
parents do the shopping.
On Thursday, May 8, Miss D. Bennett
from Hullett presented her slides of
Australia to Grades 3, 4 and 7.
Mrs. Ottewell's Grade 3 class produced
some video tape presentations on their hob-
bies and invited parents to see them.
The Grade 3s are enjoying individual
navel study. Air. Ottewell found balloon
pieces with cards enclosed which came
from Lansing, Michigan and landed on his
farm. The Grade 3 class wrote to four
students who released these balloons and.
they are hoping for replies.

In independent tests, Para's coverage was tried against six
other comparable leading brands. Para's 8300 semi -gloss
covered better than Benlamin Moore's Aqua-Glo and CIL's 2400
Super Latex, and as well as Glidden's 3700 semigloss. In each
case, Para came out as well as or better than the competition °
