Browsers had ample stock to choose from as several local groups and. individuals set up displays. (poby Dave Sykes) Huron -Bruce Pony Club hosts meet in Kincardine l,P. qa=.g:e tta,©d,._(No 4e, y) and Heather Simtfions (Setiio MEI) placed first in their respective divisions at the Huron - Bruce Pony Club Tetrathlon Mini Meet held at the Kincardine Community Centre, Sun- day Apr. 27. It was J.P.'s first attempt at Tetrathlon and he put forth a strong perfor- mance'. Heather has been competing in Tetrathlon for 4 years: She has been to 3 Na- tional competitions and this summer will represent Canada in an International Tetrathlon competition in Great Britain. Two previous National competitors, Tina Nisbett (Senior Girl) and Peter Simmons (Junior Boy) placed 2nd in their divisions. • First year competitor Mikel Abbot (Junior Boy) placed 3rd in his division. En- trants had to run cross country, pistol shoot and swim. The riding phase is omitted from the mini meets. People are attracted to the Huron -Bruce event despite the long drive for many clubs, because of the excellent amenities at the complex and the superior organization and time -tabling of the meet. Al1.3 phases are held in one spot. Mini meets are used as training grounds in preparation for the Western Ontario Regional event, held in the Guelph area in June. Regional winners from the Junior and Senior Divisions will represent Western On- tario Region at the Canadian National Tetrathlon competition in August. TOWN OF GODERICH PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the TOWN OF GODERICH will hold a public meeting on Monday, June 9, 1986 at 6:45 p.m. \in the Council Chambers to consider a proposed zoning by-law under Sec - 'lion 34 of the Planning Act, 1983. The proposed,zoning by-law will change the zoning on lots 35 through 43, Registered Plan 471 (as Deemed by by-law 44-1960) from "Residential Low denisty - Holding (R1 -H)" to "Residential Low Density (R1-1)" to permit the e§tablishment of detached single-family dwellings. The by-law would require a minimum lot frontage of 14.9 metres and a minimum corner lot area of 482 square metres. This by-law is an amendment to By-law 38-1985. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning by-law.
