(photo by Sharon Dietz) �.�aintenance operator at water treatment plant dies VICTOR DAVID POWELL Victor David Powell of Goderich died at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on Saturday, May 3, 1986, at the age of 68. A sergeant in the Armed Forces for 29 years, he was employed as a maintenance operator at the Goderich water treatment plant, following his retirement frons the forces. He was a member of St. George's Anglican Church, Goderich and the Royale Canadian Legion, Branch.109. Born in Stratford on July 14, 1917, he was a son of the late George Powell and Pearl Leitch. • He is survived by his wife, the former Ed- na Derbyshire, five daughters, Eleanor and Paul Shannon of Havana, Cuba; Diane Ber- dan of Toronto; Valerie and Paul Despres of Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Sue and Ian MacAdam and Vicki and Eric Skirten of Goderich and one son, David also of Goderich. A brother, Albert Powell of Goderich, eight grandchildren and one great grandson also survive. .
