Displays included fresh evergreen and shrub background with the golds of for- sythia and daffodils heralding the true ar- rival of Spring in Goderich. Window boxes in. full bloom, artistically arranged, hanging .ivy geraniums, and many other lovely potted plants, formed a fitting background for the presentation of the introduction to 1986 Mayor's Blooming Contest, sponsored annually by the club. Forms were provided for interested gardeners and procedures for entries were explained and all gardeners encouraged to enter the competition for the beautification Of their own grounds and, in turn, Goderich.
