Michael McCabe turns in
personal best for bantam
Each month at Little Bowl; one youth
' bowler is chosen `Bowler of the Month'
from each of the following divisions,
Peewee, Bantam, Junior and Senior. •
On Saturday, Apr. 5 seven bowlers in
each division bowled three games to
establish the `Bowler of the Year.'

with scores of 234, 245 and 300 -giving hin
an exceedingly high triple of 779. Michael
Beggin was the runnerup in the bantam
division with 119, 133, 123 scores.
.In Peewee, Danielle McHardie placed
first with scores of 127,100 and 77 and run-
ner up was Scott Davidson with games of
95, 91 and 90.
Junior division was won by Brad Fisher
with three • high games 283, 230 and 180.
Runnerup Robert Marshalls' games were
128, 150 and 131.
In the Senior division, Danny Suplat
bow"-7ec ri T1O,19 to take top spot with
Calvin Knight in second spot bowling 218,
215 and 174. Bowler of the Year in each
division goes on to a Fibal District'
Tournament. •

Ontario's Tourism and Recreation
Minister John Eakins today announced
1,731 athlete excellence awards for 1985.
The awards recognize first place
finishes in national or international sports
. events Athletes may have competed as in-'
dividuals or team members.
"Many of the athlete excellence awards
are being given to athletes who compete in
non -Olympic sports," Eakins said. "No
matter the sport, we believe our "high-
calibre athletes show us the benefits of
health and what can be accomplished with
determined effort.
