NiieUCW pledges
to support mission
Nile UCW Marchmeeting was held at the
home of Joan Dougherty. The president
Beth Rutledge opened the meeting and then
called on World Outreach Convenor Shirley
Dustow.
Shirley challenged the members to "Go ye
into all the world and preach the gospel"
and as the meeting progressed they realized
that they would da this by supporting mis-
sion and services.
Bessie ,McNee, mission and services
treasurer, gave a very informative presen-
$---tation•on-mission-and,sertPieesn. The•largesta
percentage of the division 'ot mission and
services goes to the assistance of pastoral
charges, social ministries and social action,
and the smaller percentage for conference,
supplies and pension fund. Seventy percent
of the money goes to missions in Canada and

Two ladies volunteered to go to Blyth to help
make up favours for -the-Presbyterial- Con-
ference. Each favor will contain a candle
representing the light of the world. Lou
Brindley closed the meeting with a reading.
The hostess Beth Rutledge and Joan
Dougherty served lunch.
