Seniors sell
beautiful quilt

HOLMEsvILLE-Morning worship ser-
vice was held Sunday in Hohnesville United
Church with a large congregation in atten-
dance` The Reverend J. Betchet officiated
and spoke to the children before ,they went to
their classes. Marty and Hugh Lobb sang in
the ministry of music. Mrs. Verna Lobb
played the organ.
Seniors Meet
The Enterprising Seniors met in the Com-
munity Centre in Holmesville, Thursday at 2

zel McCreath acted as secretary in the
absence of Charlotte Norman. Frank Yeo
gave the treasurer's report. Blanche Deeves
reported on cards sent.
The Enterprising Seniors have a beautiful
quilt for sale in brown and beige pomplete
witdh border. Call 527-7436 for more
information.
Marion Powell gave a reading before in-
troducing the guest speakers, Mr. and Mrs.
Holley who spoke on 'Worm Casting'. It was
a very informative talk and demonstration.
Many seniors bought bags of worm castings
to put on their gardens and flower beds. The
Holleys were thanked for coming and
replied it was their pleasure.
A social time and lunch was then enjoyed
by all.
R' e next meeting will be held April 17 at 2
p.m.
The Seniors' Games are to be heldJune 23
and 24 in Dorchester. Seniors areasked to
please sign up.
The Senior's Zone Rally is being held in
Goderich, April 16. Nine hundred and thirty
are registered. Lunch will be served.
IODE tours
Bluewater Centre
The April lst meeting of the Goderich
IODE was held at the Bluewater Centre for
Young Offenders. They started with a tour
through the centre with five of the residents
conducting the tour. Rev Clare Geddes pro-
vided information on the centre, which was
very interesting.
After the tour, the group held their
meeting in the main meeting room.
Mrs. Boddy opened with the prayer and
Mrs. Murphy read the minutes of the 1st
meeting.
Mrs. Murphy asked for volunteers to act
as Red Cross Captains. Mrs. Nephew read
the treasurer's report and reminded
everyone that fees are now due.
Mrs. Strickland thanked Rev. Geddes for
arranging the tour of the centre.

from Lakeland, Florida where they spend
the winter months.
Charlie Baechlar has returned from a
week's holiday in Florida.
Ed & Blanche Deeves of Clinton visited on
Sunday with Jack & Marion Smith.
Margaret Mole accompanied Belle Mole &
Gordon & Etta Struthers of Lucknow to
Aylmer recently where they visited with
Mr. & Mrs. Neil Haines.
Verna & Tom Hallam of Auburn called on
Verna's mother, Gertie Park on Sunday
evening.
Walter Mole of Kincardine visited with his
mother, Margaret on Sunday.
