Dungannon has Easter Ansi
Sympathy is extended to the family of the
late Jeremy Noble who passed away Satur-
day in his ninth year at Clinton hospital. He
was a son of Terry & Pat(MCGee)Noble.
Besides his parents, he is survived by one
sister, Angela, onne brother, Justin,, his
grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Harold McGee of
Nile and Mr.& Mrs, Murray Noble in B.G. as
well as several aunts, uncles &
cousins. Sympathy is also extended to the
family of the late "Gus". Devereaux who
passed away at Shelburne hospital on Fri-
day in his 80th year. He and his wife,
Mary(Boyle) operated the St. Augustine
general store for many years. He is surviv-
ed, by his wife, two daughters, Joan Polishuk
of London and Betty Ratcliffe of Toronto
and a son, Eugene of Alliston and their
families.
Mr: & Mrs George Neil & family have
moved into the house, recently vacated by
Wayne and Diane Newhook & family who
moved to the Kinloss area'.
The family of Lloyd and Doris Hodges
joyed Easter Sunday at the :bode
daughter, Marsha rsha and Bruce MO-
family at Nile. Also present were Val
Vanderburgh and girls; Steve ,and Deb
Wailer, Amanda and Meagan of, Wong;
Annette Bere of London; Terry and Penny
Hodges, Sherry and Tanya and UM PO
Wanda Hodges.
Visitors over the weekend with Bill and
Marie Park, Tod and Brad, were Steve and
Deb Park, Holly and Amber; Val and Mike
Bendig, Joel and Kate and Pat and GarY
Johnston, all of Goderich and Robert and
Marilyn Schultz, Terry, Tina and Lisa. of
Kippen.
' Gertrude Park and Cynthia & John Ander-
son spent Easter Sunday with Cheryl Ander-
son & daughter, Nicole in Goderich.
Jean and Ivan Henderson of Toronto
visited with the Errington families in the
area over the weekend.

Grey Township reeve cies
A longtime residentCLIFFDUNBAR o Grey Township,
and reeve of the municipality for many
years, Cliff Dunbar of Ethel, died on March
6.
Mr. Dunbar joined the 161st Huron Bat-
talion, at Brussels; and went overseas in
November, 1916.
During his active service in France, Mr.
Dunbar served with a machine gun com-
pany which wasa unit of the 4th Canadian
Brigade. In" April, 1917, his regiment took
part in the battle for Vimy Ridge. Before
WW I ended in November, 1918, Uiitt nag
reached the rank of Sergeant.
In a letter, received from him some years
ago, Cliff had outlined. his WW I army ser-
vice and his post WW I civilian career.' •
He wrote: "After my discharge from the
army in 1919, I went over to Michigan where
I was employed in Flint at Buick auto for.
some months; one winter, (in the 20's) I
went up to northereOntario where I was
employed at Hollinger gold mines. I spent
another five years in Detroit, working at
Chrysler auto factory.
In October, 1929,(after the world stock
market crash)•I came back to Ethel where I
took over a livestock feed mill. Later, Iwas
farming in Grey Township."
Mr. Dunbar was also a veteran of
municipal polities; he entered Grey
Township's council in. 1952 as councillor,
and, in 1960, became reeve. He also
representedthe township as a Huron County
councillor for nine years, until his retire-
ment from municipal service in 1968. -
He was a longtime member of Brussels
branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Even
during his late 80s he turned out, every
November 11 for Armistice Day ceremonies
at Brussels; perhaps his last appearance at
a Legion function was in September, 85,
when he was one, of several. 'Huron Zone'
great war vets to attend a dinner in their
honor at 'McDonald Legion" Brar ch,
Kitchener.
Mr. Dunbar is survived by his wife, the
former Margaret Philp, and a sister, .Elsie
Cunningham of Ethel; he was predeceased
by one sister and five brothers.

OBITUARIES
The funeral was in Watts Funeral Home,
Brussels, with the service by Rev. B. Nevin;
interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery;'
Ethel.
JEREMY WILLIAM NOBLE
Master Jeremy William Noble of Clinton,
formerly of Dungannon, died at Clinton
Public Hospital on Saturaay, March 290986
in his ninth year.
A student at Clinton Public School, he was
a son of Terry Noble and the former Pat
McGee of Clinton. He was born on August 14,
1977 in Wingham. .
He is. survived by his parents, ,a. sister,
Angela Marie and a brother, Justin Andrew,
both at home, his grandparents, Harold and
Eileen McGee of Nile and Olga Jean and
Murray Noble of Vancouver.
A private family service was held at the
McCallum Funeral Home in Goderich on
Monday, March 31, 1986. conducted by Rev.
Robert Roberts of Dungannon United Chur-
ch.
Pallbearers were Doug Fines, Dana
Boree., Tim Shaw and Jim Sanderson.
. Burial in Dungannon Cemetery.
DOROTHYJANE (BOWCOCK) WILLIAMS
Dorothy Jane (Bowcock) Williams, of 9
Cottonwood Crescent, London, died ;Mon-
day, Mar. 31 at University Hospital.
Surviving de her husband Don Williams,
one brother Jack• Bowcock and several
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased
by one brother Rex Bowcock.
Friends will, be received today (Wednes-
day Apr. 2) at the A. Millard George
Funeral Home, 60.Ridout Street South, Lon-
don from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services
. will be conducted iii the chapel on Thursday,
Apr. 3 at 1:30' p, m- with Rev: J. Mtirdo
Pollock of Hamilton Road Presbyterian
Church officiating. Cremation.
At the request of the family, no flowers.
