OPP seek robbery suspect

matching this composite drawing, please
contact the police immediately.
An 'armed robbery occurred at Miller's
Variety Store in Fordwieh, shortly after 5
o'clock on Monday, March 3rd, in which ap-
proximately $437 was stolen at knife point.
The lone occupant of the store was con-
fronted by a male subject described as be-
ing white, approximately 25 years of age, 5'
5", 150-160 lbs. with a stocky build, light
brown to blonde hair, blue eyes, no visible
scars or birth marks, no accent and clean
shaven.
The suspect wore no disguise or gloves.
He was wearing a dark leather jacket ( not a
biker style jacket) and was wearing dark
headwear or a touque.
He was armed with a hunting knife with a
6" stainless steel blade.
As customers approached the store, the
suspect fled in a small four wheel drive vehi-
cle believed to be an AMC Jeep Renegade or
possibly a Jeep CJ7 series, light blue in col-
our with a white vinyl or soft top and win-
dows all around. It was very dirty with mud
caked on the sides, had normal sized tires
and Ontario Licence plates.
This vehicle was last seen being driven
west on Concession 6 of Howick Township.

from Florida
Donna, Laurie and Linda Hayden have
returned from a vacation in Florida.
The last card party for the season was
held on Friday night. High man was_Elton
Draper, high lady, Rita Tigert; low man;
Brian Weaver and low lady, Jan Dickson.
• Nancy Corkuin has been visiting relatives
in ,Newfoundland last week, and husband
Steve will be returning with her.
Winners of the Port Albert lottery, whic»

UCW chooses
Easter theme
The March meeting of .Donnybrook UCW
was held on Tuesday, March 11, at the home
. of Margaret Hildebrand with Luba Strutton
and Eileen Jefferson in charge.
Christ the.Lord is Risen Today was sung.
The Risen Christ -- An Easter Story was
ready by Luba. Eileen gave a prayer and
read the meditation.
Eileen Hanna took over for the business
which included a discussion of catering to
,St. Helens.Institute April 1.
Luba read a story about Indians froth
Stories' in Survival. Eileen.read a poem, On
Prayer. Beneath the Cross of Jesus was
sung.
After Eileen closed with a prayer, lunch
was served by June Robinson and Ruth
Hardy.
Plan bake sale
The Dungannon Women's Institute held
their February meeting in the United
Church with 11 members present.. The roll
call was name a company, what they make
and where they are located.
Plans were made to hold a dessert euchre
and bake sale at Brookside School during
the spring break. t
Material was donated to make a quilt to
sell tickets for a draw. Myrtle Kerr and Peg
Purdon were named as" the committee to
look after getting the quilt made and
q ilted.
Lois Lee was convener for the Canadian
Industries program and chose as her topic,
a day's work for a day's' pay. She gave an
amusing and informative account of her job
in a factory. Lois then demonstrated
recovering a lawn chair using nylon strips.
Hostesses Lois Lee and Jean Errington
served a delicious snack of coffee, cheese,
crackers, fruit and relishes.
