West Wawanosh Township council will
write a letter of protest about the large
salary increases granted to Huron County
department heads, council decided at its
Mar. &meeting. .
The letter will concur with the protest
from Clinton council about salary in-
creases mailed to all Huron County
West Wawanosh council will send a
township pin and a description of how
Joanne Sproul designed the logo to Toronto
to be included in a time capsule com-
memorating Ontario's Bicentennial. The
capsule will be opened in 2084.
Council also authorized the preparation'
of an offer to purchase 10 acres of Part Lot
24, Coneession 14 from Leontin and Hilda
Selent for $25,000. The land is adjacent to
the Inglis Pit. .
Jim •Finleon was hired by council to
count dogs and sell tags in 1986 for the
price of $1.75 a dog. Finleon was chosen out
of six applicants for the job.
In other news; West Wawanosh council
agreed to give the usual grant of $100 to the
Dungannon and Lucknow Agricultural
Societies in support of their fall fairs.
A tentative date of. Mar. 10 was set for
the councils of West Wawanosh and
Ashfield to meet with an Ontario Hydro
representative for information about the
eventual replacement of lights in Dungan-
non.
Coun. Hamilton -Seeger agreed to act as
a second representative from West
Wawanosh on the Lucknow and District
Joint Recreation Board.

time for counselling, he wilt not have the
alternative to opt out and the purchase the

It will always be painted as the doctors de-
nying service, he pointed out, when in reali-
ty doctors won't be paid to give the service
becausethere will be caps on the service.
"The first thing you must realize is that
Goderieh will be delcared as over doctored
and overhospitalized. In other words, the
advantages of having new doctors comeing

to Goderich and a hospital that can work on
cases quickly, will ned. With attrition or
dissatisfield doctdrs leaving, servicew will
not be replaced.
OHIP should be treated as insurance, said
Dr. Thomson. "Would you accept Blue
• Cross saying there is no more semi -private
coverage , . If benefits go down you'd be
upset."
Dr. Thomson said he hopes patients
understand doctors. are not going to strike
but the possibility of doctors opting out en
masse is real. If they do, patients will be ex-
pected to pay for their doctor's services up
front and then submit the bill to OHIP for
reimbursement.
