blues at Blyth Festival

Holly Arntzen's folk influences, spon-

don Lightfood, Cleo Laine and Joni Mitchell.
Holly's music has been featured on CBC
radio shows, Morningside and Simply Folk.
In 1983, Holly was selected winner of the
DuMaurier Search for the Stars and ap-
peared on the following CBC television
special. After that performance she was
asked by folk artist Stan Rogers to record
the backup vocals on his last album, From
the Fresh Water.
Many of her songs are written by Holly,
and others are a family affair, written with
brother Trevor Jones, father Lloyd Arn-
tzen, and husband Stephen Foster. The con-

shwin, Stan Rogers and Alberta Hunter.
Holly is accompanied by a bass player and
pianist, and plays dulcimer, guitar and
piano herself.

The Holmesville I Classy Crowd met on
Monday Mar. 17 at the Holmesville Hall,
There were 15 present and four boys were
late.
The group was asked "How we could be
good delegates to the 4-H Rally." They
discussed now they would reply to the in-
vitation (if they got one), what they would
wear, how to pack their suitcases efficiently
and what to,bring according to the Activities
and Climate.
Surprising as it may seem, people never
pack according to the length of time they
stay, as one should be able to mix -and -
match various things.
Then they discussed who to tip at a really
posh hotel.
Being or having a houseguest was next.
They were given 10 situations and 10 possi-
ble., answers or thing to do all mixed up.
I liked this one. If your houseguest likes to
look through the medicine cabinet you ... fill
it with marbles that will fall out when the
door is opened!! Imagine their surpise!
How to appreciate your host/hostess Was
talked over.
You are now entering the Etiquette Zone.

communities' in the province.
