(photo by Susan Hundertmark) Wilkins family celebrates birthday Charles and Mayme Wilkins had most of their family home for the weekend. There was Barbara from Paris, Elizabeth from Toronto and Kenneth from Ridgetown, Stella Irwin and heron Lloyd of Kinloss township, just to name few that were there to help Barbara celebrate her birthday. On Thursday Charles, Mayme and Bar- bara Wilkins were at Larry and Joanne Wilkins for dinner to help their small son Adam celebrate his third birthday. Sunday evening, Wellington, Kae and Jim Webster visited in Dungannon with Jack; Marion and Lloyd Smith. On Wednesday morning the Bible Class of the ,Ashfield Presbyterian Church had their Bible Study at the home of Mrs. Ewen MacLean. Weekend visitors with Rhetta MacLennan were her daughter Florence MacLennan and her friend Shirley of Kitchener. Other visitors with •Rhetta during the week were her grandson Jason Morton and a friend from Point Clark and Andrea Mac- Donald and Rosemarie of Atmberley. Pine River U.C.W.. • The monthly meeting of the Pine River United Church U.C.W. met on Mar. 11, in the 'basement of the church. It was a dessert luncheon. The conveners Barbara Messenger and Marion Lowry then took over the meeting. The hymn Crown Him With Many Crowns was sung. Barbara Messenger read the message from.the .Bible. Maureen Smith, a visitor, favored the ladies with a very lovely hymn, God Will Take 'Care Of You. The other visitor, Mrs. Margaret Reef, led in prayer and then spoke on Love and Tears. • Maureen Smith favored the ladies with another, beautiful solo. Mrs. Reef read a poem The Weaver. These two ladies were very much enjoyed by all. The hymn Christ the Lord is Risen Today was sung.' . b ti Marion Lowry read a poem. And a very in- teresting tape was shown on Indians. A discussion on and about the Indians took place, with all present participating. The ladies , are . all , learning ,more . about our native people. A social hour followed. Cecil and Jim Webster were home from Waterloo on the weekend, and the boys found snowmobiling quite good, even after the storm. Visitors with Rhetta MacLennan were her grandson Collin MacLennan, son of George MacLennan of Agincourt and ,her son Jack' MacLennan of Stratford.
