If the history book is ordered and paid for before publication, the cost will be $20. After publication the price cannot be guaranteed. Orders may be plac- ed at Petrie's General Store. The number of books printed will be based oh the amount of orders received. Any family histories or pictures which you wish to be included in the history book must be given to Mary Crawford within the next week. • The 150th Lottery Draw was held,Satur- day, March 8 at the 50's and 60's dance. Win- ners were Pat Marvin, • Michigan $300; Marie Park, Dungannon $100, and Betty Lou Dalton, Kingsbridge $100. The 50's and 60's dance was well attended and enjoyed by all. Many thanks to Ken Dickson for organizing this event. To help celebrate Port Albert's 150th .the ladies of Christ Church . are selling com- menorative plates. For further information call 529-7130. The -card party which had to be cancelled due to weather conditions will now be held Friday. March 14 at 8:00 a.m. Ladies please bring lunch. This will be the last card party. Isabelle Doherty hosted a bridal shower in her home for Sherri Stewart on March 9. Dan Greene, resident of Port Albert, is travelling to South Carolina during the winter break. Mary Lynn Doherty, who is attending col- lege in London, was home visiting . for a week. ` Class enjoys pizza party BY MICHELLE GLENN s AND HEIDI ZOETHOUT On Feb. 26, Mrs. Campbell's Grade 7 class at Robertson Public School had a pizza par- ty for raising the most "L'il Chimer" money. Mrs. Smith and her baby girl came to join in the fun: -This party was held over the lunch hour. -4 Also, Mrs. Campbell's class made papier inache heads in art class. • Grades 7 and 8 are busy .doing their Science projects which are due Apr. 1. The Grades 7 and 8 are playing in- tramural basketball. The girls have nine teams and the boys have six teams. On Mar. 7, the Robertson pupils were let out at 2:30'p.m. for the March Break. It was'also a learning experience to meet the different teachers. In Grade 8, two pupils from each class are working on a project for their classmates to do. This is going.to be about the Grasslands of the Southern Continents. Grade 7C students are doing Art Paces in art. They also went skating on Mar. 5 for their last time this year. How are you?'r' The Hohnesville II 4-H Club has started once again. This spring the topic is Eti- quette for the 80s. The first meeting was held on February 22 at leader, Bev Van Ninhuy's. The first meeting consisted of the election of officers, The results were: president - Linda Brand, vice -president -Diane Brad- shaw; secretary -Laurie Littlechild; treasurer -Julie Baker; press reporter -Janet Ducharme. The assistant leader is Denise Brand. Members then said the 4-H pledge and sat down to start reading in their books. They learned the correct way to introduce so- meone and the correct way to set up a buffet GIvIc CORN R On Wednesday, Mar. 12 at 11 a.m., the Goderich police commission will meet at the Duchess Room of the Bedford Hotel and the utility coordinating committee will meet at town hall. On Thursday, Mar. 13 at 10 a.m., the Huron County agricultural and property committee will meet in the council chambers at the Courthouse, 1 On Mar. 13 at 8:30 a.m., the Goderich ad- ministration and personnel committee will• meet at town hall, at noon, the parks and waterfront committee will meet at town hall and at 7 p.m., LACAC will meet in the Mayor's office, town hall. On Friday, Mar. 14 at 10 a.m., the Huron County road committee will meet in the coli it chambers at the Courthouse. On Monday, Mar. 17 at 7:30 p.m., Goderich council Will meet at town hall. On Tuesday, Mar. 18 at 10 a.m., the I$uron County social services comniittee will meet in the council chambers at the Courthouse. On Mar. 18 at 7 p.tn., the Goderich works and property committee will meet at town hall. The second meeting of the Holmesville II 4-H Club was held on March 1 at Bev's. A new member was welcomed to the club. The meeting started with vice-president, Diane Bradshaw, leading in the 4-H pledge. The minutes from the last meeting were read. The treasurer's report was given with a balance of $21.98. The meeting consisted of reading about the correct way to answer the telephone and take a message, the proper way to sena out invitations and replies and the correct way to set the table for meals and how to be a good host/hostess.
