Sympathy is extended to Leonard and
Violet Brindley and family on the death of
Violet's mother, Luella Gow, on Saturday
morning in Goderich. Funeral ar-
rangements were in charge of the Tasker
Funeral Home, Blyth.
Dan and Mary Ellen Boel, Jason and
Justin have returned from their Florida
vacation to some pretty stormy weather.
Eldon Culbert is a patient in University
hospital. London, Room 19, 4th floor,
undergoing a series of tests. His many
friends wish him the best and hope to see
him home seen.
Jack and Marion Smith were in Stratford
on Sunday for the baptism of their 22nd
grandchild, Adam Paul Byers, son of Paul
and Mary Byers. The service was held at St.
Peter's Lutheran Church.
Lloyd and Doris Hodges and Keith and
Irene Blake left Saturday for Biscotasing in
Northern Ontario:

drews. Low man was Lloyd Walters. There
was a tie between Mary Stewart and Louise
BrindleY for high lady with Mary winning
the cut. Low lady's card was won by Cora
Sherwood and Helen Stothers. ,
There were 33 tables at the last Dungan-
non Agricultural Society . euchre tourna-
ment. First place winners were Connie and
Murray Nesbitt, second Brian Draper and
Ray Brown, and third Reg Brindley. Draw
winners were Ralph Qurran, Loretta Doher-
ty and Gordon MacDonald.
Reports on Westminster Weekend
On Feb. 18 a meeting of the Dungannon
UCW was held at the home of Willetta
McWhinney at 1:30 p.m.
The program was led by Helen Dawson
and started with a reading from Matthew 28
verses 1-8. Devotion was given in form of a
skit. The sign of the Cross and was play-
acted by seven ladies. Hymns 98 verse 3, 605
verse 3, 100 verses 4 and 5 and 104 verse 4
were read.
Helen then read from Matthew 16 verses,
24-243, after which she read how Jesus was
able to bear the cross with God's help. A
prayer was offered and all repeated the
Lord's Prayer. Collection followed and was
dedicated.
Nora Saunders reported on the
Westminster Weekend which she aiiended
last spring. The theme was Our experiment
a sacrifice. Roll call was answered by a bi-
ble verse with love in'it.
Minutes were read and adopted. Cor-
respondence was dealt with and thank you
cards were read. An invitation was received
to attend the Huron Perth Presbyterial to be
held in Stratford United Church, as was one
to the 100th anniversary of Hensall United.
Information was given on the
Westminster Weekend and Alma School for
Women Seminars will be held at the Univer-
sity of Waterloo in June. Roberta Linskill
was to purchase material for a quilt. Some
of•the ladies were appointed to take part in
the World Day of prayer service to be held
at the Dungannon United Church on March
7. It was announced that there will be a box
social held at the church for the women of

The meeting closed with the, benediction
and a lovely lunch was enjoyed.
Elect executive of 4-H association
To plan and co-ordinate a quality 4-H pro-
gram is one of the objectives stated in the •
new constitution of the Huron County 4-H
Club Leaders' Association.
The new constitution was enacted at the
association's annual meeting held Mar. 5.
Dianne Oldfield, R.R. 4, Seaforth was
elected president of the association for 1986
and presented Terry Smith, R.R. 1, Walton
with his past president's, pin.

Huron County association has a member-
ship of over 20 volunteer 4-H leaders
dedicated to helping with the mental, emo-
tional, social and .physical development of
young people.,
