He is survived by his wife, the former Stella Gervais and a son, William and his wife, Faye of Goderich. He is also survived by a sister, Irene, Mrs. Fred Edwards of Orillia and a brother, Rick Foreman of Grand Rapids, Michigan, two grandchildren and one great-grandson. A private family service was held at the McCallum Funeral Home on March 4, 1986, by Rev. G.L. Royal of Knox Presbyterian Church. Cremation. ADAM (ADDIE) MacADAM Adam (Addie) MacAdam of Goderich died at Alexandra Marine and General `.Jospital on Friday, March 7, 1986 at the age, of 88. ,He sailed for many years and was a rural mail carrier for R.R. 3 for 23 years. He was also a member of Knox Presbyterian Chur- ch. Born in Ashfield Township on October 7, 1897, he was a son of the late Joseph MacAdam and Johanna MacDonald. He married Evelyn MacDonald who predeceas- ed him. He is survived by a son, Donald Bert and his wife, Janice of Goderich. He is also sur- vived by a sister, Margaret, Mrs. Christopher Brownlee, three grandchildren, Ian Bert MacAdam, Debra Lyn Abbott and David William MacAdam and five great grandchildren. • He was predeceased by three sisters, Bea, Mrs. William Joslin; Kate, Mrs. Richard Oke and Ruth, Mrs. Thomas Campbell and two brothers, Neil and James. Baptize babies a Happy Birthday to Jean Simpson and her son Bobby Simpson who celebrated their birthdays on Feb. 17. Clarissa Anne daughter of Patrick Carter and Elizabeth Hendriks was recent- ly baptized at St. Joseph's Church. Christa Amy was also baptized at St. Joseph's church. Christa Amy's parents are Francais and Brenda Grubb. On March 2 a crowd of 85 young and old gathered at the farm of Marvin and Hani Scott. There was an air of enthusiasm as everyone anxiously awaited as the teamsters hitched their seven teams of horses on to bunk sleighs. Sleigh bells chimed as the party moved out on to a 3'/2 "tile scenic tract. Marvin had three teams hitched. Jim Aitchison, Jack Aitchison, Donnie Scott, Clete Dalton and Ray Dalton with his pony and sleigh, supplied the other teams. The weather just couldn't have been bet- ter for children and adults enjoying the fellowship of friends and acquaintances at the wiener roast on an open fire in the bush of Doug Scott's. Parties attended from Ripley,. Walker- ton, Wingham, Lucknow, Kincardine and surrounding areas. By 5:30 all had bid their goodbyes at Scott's yard and Marion and Hani welcomed all to return again. Mr. and Mrs. Robt Simpson and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Simpson visited with Jack and Doris Allan of Petrolia on Feb. 28. Speaking contest at Kingsbridge. The Grade 7 and 8 classes had a Pancake Day on February 11, 1986. . G.L. Royal. Burial in Maitland Cemetery. ail carrier WALTER RAYMOND PIERSON • Walter Raymond Pierson of R.R.2 Goderich died peacefully at his home on Monday, March 3, 1986 in his 74th year. A retired businessman of the Goderich and Bayfield area. he was a retired member of the Seafarers Union and a member of the Anglican Church. • Born in Altoon, Pennsylvania U.S.A. on April 30, 1911, he was a son of the late Lawrence Pierson and Clara Leap. He is survived by his wife Isabel Ber- riman, three daughters; Rose Marie (Mrs. Clayton Boyce) of Goderich, Shirley (Mrs. Ronald Lacey) of Stratford, and Lynda (Mrs. Wm. Steenstra) of R.R.3 Clinton. His son Walter Junior, of Goderich also survives him. He is also survived by one brother, Ellwood Pierson of Warren Michigan, and ten grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Clarence. Funeral and commital services were held Wednesday, March 5 at 2 p.m. with the eulogy delivered by Bill Steenstra. Services were conducted by the Rev. Robert, J Crocker of St. George's Anglican Church: Burial in the Maitland Cemetery. G.C. (TED I WHITE G.C. (Ted) White of Goderich and former- ly of Toronto deed at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich on Wednes- day, March 5, 1986 in his 81st year. An accountant with the Department of Na- tional Revenue for 35 years, he retired to Goderich in 1965 where he carried on an ac- counting scounting practice for several years. He was a past president of the Menesetung Canoe Club and the Goderich Lawn Bowling Club, and a member of the Curling Club.; He was a Member of the Goderich Centennial Committee in 1967 and Knox Presbyterian Church, Born in Kolapore in Grey County, on September 4, 1905, he was a son of the e Thomas Boothby White andHarriett aria Smith of Parry Sound. He marri Irene Abell of Goderich on September. , 1935 in Goderich. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Peter and his wife, Sally of Toronto and John of Toronto and a daughter, Elizabeth and her husband, Bob Harmer of .Vancouver. He is also survived by a sister, Marion Emes of Parry Sound and a sister-in-law, Milly White also of Parry Sound and six grand- children, David, Nancy and Steven White and Susan, John and C. J. Harmer. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
