Chris Walker scored his first hat -trick as
the Goderich Peewee Bs went on defeat
Clinton - 2 in Huron -Perth league action
here Friday.
While Walker led the offence with his
three -goal performance, Jeremy Grasby,
Brent Anderson and Mark Melick rounded
out the scoring with one goal apiece.
Anderson had two assists for a three-
point night while teammates Grasby,

Doug McDonald, Sean Bloch and Jerry
Hartin were each credited with an assist.
The Goderich Peewee Bs finish off the
Huron -Perth regular schedule with a game
in Exeter this Saturday.
Midgets finish season with 8-0 win
The Goderich Legion Midgets officially
finished their regular season last Wednes-
day by once again defeating Lucan. 8-0,
sweeping the season series. Gary Erb led
the Goderich attack with four points and.
Jay Williamson recorded the Midgets' first
shutout this season to lead the team to
victory.
The first period was a close, tight, check-
ing affair which saw Lucan take ten
penalties. Unfortunately Goderich
couldn't score even one. The winning goal
was scored with twenty-four seconds left in
the period when Ian MacKinnon, taking a
pass from Darrel Elwin) .and,Gary, Erb,
lofted the puck towards the goal and it
squirted by a startled Lucan goaltender.
Goderich took control of the game in the
second period when they scored four goals
in :a -minute and ten "seconds.- DrrrnirT
scored his first of the night when he grabb-
ed, a loose puck in front of the net. MacKin-
non and Richard ,Boddy picked up the
assists. Mark Cauchi scored next after be-
ing set up at the side of the net with some
pretty passing from Jim Beattie and Dave
Duncan. Duncan then took a pass from
Cauchi and Beattie twenty-nine seconds
later; and Darrel Durnin finished the out-
burst of scoring after grabbing Erb's re -1
.bound shot off the boards. Boddy original-.
ly passed it to Erb. Goderich was to get
another goal with nine seconds remaining
when Ryan Kelly and Erb connected on a

In the .third Goderich continued to keep
the pressure on as Erb sent Duncan and
• MacKinnon in on a two -on -one and Duncan
passed to MacKinnon who put it past a
helpless , goalie. Jim Beattie finished the
scoring by blasting a shot with a minute
left after Kelly and Duncan set him up.
Meanwhile at the scoreless end of the ice
Jay Williamson played a very solid game
in net as he contipually • thwarted any
Lucan attack. The Goderich defensive
corps also deserve some credit for the
shutout.
Goderich will play in the Wingham Tour-
nament on March 14.

Garrett and his Kingly team defeated
Dixie's by a 9 to 5 count. The Dixie squad
was headed by Don Dickie.
In the final encounter, Jack Kellough and
the Bankers pulled a squeaker to ' nip
Rosemary's 6 to 5. Karen Kirk skipped the
losing team in that one.
