Topic of 4-H project is etiquette
4-H has begun again! The Holmesville I
club met Monday, Feb. 17 at the Holmesville
Hall,
The topic is etiquette. For those who don't
know, etiquette is a system of rules or a code
of conduct that tells you the thoughtful way
to behave with other people.
There are 22 members, four of whom are
boys. 'In Goderich Township we must either
find etiquette an interesting subject or need
table manners quickly.
Leaders are Joan Crawford and Linda
Mustard. The president is Gina Mustard,
the vice-president is Jdy Mabon, , the
secretary is Adrienne Bartlettt, the
.treasurer is Josh Feltham and Jennifer
Flynn is the press reporter.
The first topic was how to, introduce peo-
ple. Did you know if you are introducing so-
meone in your family to say, a teacher, the
relative is introduced first. Then discussed
were what things are rude to say and what
things aren't. In proper etiquette, for exam-
ple, using offensive language to "make your
point" is never acceptable.
Then the group practiced etiquette at a
buffet. It wasn't exactly buffet -type food.
The group ate crackers and cheese,
vegetables and dip and punch.
The group hasn't thought up a name for
our club yet.
