The Canadian Legion was formed as a result of the unity conference held in November 1925 and the Dominion Charter was granted in July of 1926. As one of a number of projects to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Royal Canadian Legion, Goderich Legion Branch 109 last week donated a copy of "The Royal Cana- dian Legion 1926 - 1986" to the Goderich Public Library, The Huron County Library and to the Library of each of the following schools: The Giliderich Collegiate, Robert- son Memorial Public School, Victoria Public School, St. Marys Separate School, and Col- borne Central School. • As a tribute to the Legion's past 60 years, "The Royal Canadian Legion 1926-1986", A Foresters hold club draw The Benmiller Foresters hosted the regional curling playdowns at the Maitland Country Club on the weekend with nine area rinks participating. A banquet and dance was held at the Benmiller Lodge Saturday and Tom Profit of Goderich was the winner of a draw for a Valentine Weekend for two at the Benmiller Inn.
