Hi Everyone,
My name is Ryan and I celebrated my
third birthday on Jan. 17. I live in Calgary,
Alberta with my Monuny and Daddy.
I would like to say hello and thank you to
my Grandma and Pa Fincher, all my aunts
and uncles, and my cousin Mary Margaret.
They had a birthday party for me while
Mommy, Daddy and I were visiting them
over the Christmas holidays.

working on a unit about dragons. They are

volleyball team at Colborne. Grade' 4: Lisa
Sillib, Karin Millian, Julie Stothers, Susan
Clark and Andrea Fisher. Grade 5: Kim
Dungale. Grade 6: Jackie Vanstone, Linda
Kerr, Karen Ruston, Rose -Marie Young,
Connie U'.wL.a, ,.eblte atuu dial 1 ca,,,le Grade 3 students used the video "The Last
Braby.
The tournament is on Friday, Jan. 31 at
Robertson School. Their first game is at
10:30. The junior boys will be playing at Vic-
toria.
On Jan. 22 Colborne Central School held a
pyjama day and a dance for Grades 4 to 8.
The Grade is and 3s had the most par-
ticipation in the school.
Grade 3s at Colborne created their own
newspaper this week. They used a program
called the "Newsroom" which allows them
to make a banner, use different styles of let -
Unicorn" to go along with their unicorn ac-
tivities in reading.
Grade 2 completed the robot unit with
much enthusiasm as they presented their
robot models and posters of information to
Grades 1 and 3.
The children are now defying" into the
mysteries of detectives, and will be apply-
ing their skills of investigation to reading
novels and adding two digit numbers.
The children will be choosing a variety of
activities based on their particular areas of
interest about detectives.
