West Wawanosh council
sets -remuneration rates
Remuneration for municipal officials and
employees for 1986 was decided by West
Wawanosh Township council at its Jan. 10
meeting.
The reeve's honorarium was set at $650
per annum plus $76 per meeting for 12
regular meetings and $15 per meeting over
and above 12.
Each member of council will receive $650
honorarium, $50 per meeting for 12 regular
meetings, $15 per meeting over 12 and $35
per meeting of committees they've been ap-
pointed to.
The clerk -treasurer's salary will be
$18,060 per annum plus $35 per evening
meeting, 30 cents per mile mileage, 100 per
cent OHIP and four weeks' vacation.
The road superintendent will receive $9.90
per hour plus four weeks' vacation and 100
per cent OHIP. The grader operator's wage
is $9.55 per hour, 100 per cent OHIP and four
weeks' vacation.
The building inspector -drainage
superintendent will receive $9.60 per hour
plus $20 for meetings and 30 cents per mile
mileage.
Casual labor rate is $5 per hour and the
dump superintendent's is $6 per flour.
The fenceviewers' and livestock
evaluators' remuneration is unchanged.
The council will also. write to Robert
Dempsey, the county engineer about the
snow problem on the corner of the 10th Con-
cession and :County Road 22 which has
arisen since the construction of County
Road 22.

meeting of 1986 on Tuesday, January 21.

Theme for the meeting was, A Look at the.
New Year.
The leader, Verna Lobb read articles en-
titled A Look at the World and A.,Look at Us.
Scripture and prayer were given.. by Ada
Tebbutt. Jean Wyatt read a poem, Begin To-
day and Resolutions was read by Alice
Porter.
Correction
In a feature story on Linda Reid, the
Goderich swimmer who will compete at
the Special Olympics in Calgary this sum-
mer, which appeared on last week's front
page, the name of the Goderich Lions Club
was inadvertently missed when her spon-
sors were listed. The Signal -Star
apologizes for any incovenience this error
may have caused.
