nament in Ripley this weekend. They will
also be playing in a Can -AM Tournament,
Mitchell tournament and OMHA playoffs
in the near future.

Flyers win showdown with Murphys
The league leading Bedford Flyers lost
two.games in Goderich' Recreation League
play this week but they won the game that
counted, an 8-5" victory" over Murphy's
Green Machine.
Both Bedford and Mdrhpys were held to
one win in three league games this week.
Bedford lost : to Sunset 8-4 and and
Hedges 6-5 before rebounding with the vic-
tory over Green Machine.
A few weeks ago it was reported in a
headline that Green Machine had lost to
the hapless J:H. Jets. While the headline
was an erroneous one at the time it turned
out to be prophetic as Green Machine drop-
ped a 7-6 decision to the Jets this week.
, In other games, Ernies defeated Clere-
Vu Rockets 4-3 and Hodges, defeated the
Jets 4-1.
The week's action leaves Bedford in first
place with 27 Voints on 12 wins and 3 ties.
Murhpys, just one point back, has won 13
games but has yet to tie a league game. It
has three games in hand, though, on the
league -leading Flyers.
