Day, they all attended a family gathering at

The monthly card party at Christ Church,
Port Albert, was held January 3. During the
evening the 150th lottery draw was held and
. the winners 'were: Doug Fisher of Benmiller
$300., Brian Pollock of ,Goderich - $100:, and
Norris Peever of Saltford - $100. Prize win-
ners of the card party were: Isabelle Doher-
ty and George- Adams, men and ladies high
score and Isabelle Adams and Doug Young,
men and ladies low score.
Many men registered for the beard and
mustache growing contest during the- card
.party.. Anyone interested, may still register
at Petrie's Store.
The next euchre party will be held
February 7 at Christ Church.
A cross country ski meet will be held at
....Port.-Albert.February 8. The meet is being
organized by Charlie Crawford and in-
terested parties are asked tt►contact him.

the Christmas holiday together.
Mrs. Emerson Elliott had her daughter
Mr. and Mrs. Barry Schwarz of Wantagh,
Long Island, U.S.A. as Christmas guests
during the holiday.
Mrs. Terence' (Edna) Hunter was a pa-
tient in Goderich Hospital recently and
returned home to her daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. John Thompson, of Seaforth where she
is convalescing favorably.
Theresa Fulford spent Christmas in Lon-
don visiting her slaughters Mr. and Mrs.
John Marr and family. Mr and Mrc 1„n„
Smith andrfamily and also visited her sister
Jean Chisholm in London.
Mrs. Gordon J. Kaitting spent Christmas
with Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Arbour, of
GoderiCh and New Year's with Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Brindley, Goderich.
Mr. and Mrs. Eric Reaburn sold the part
of their farm with house and barn on Sunset
Beach Road last fall to Mr. and Mrs. Bruce
Falconer, of Blyth and have built a new
home on their land on Menesetung Camp
Road.
Last fall, they spent two weeks on a holi-
day visit with their son Rev. Earl Reaburn
at Escuminac, Quebec -.where Earl is the
minister of a four point charge in the United
Church near Can}pbelton, N.B.
For Christmas they visited their son Steve
and BerneReaburn and children at Sun-
dri nt.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shields and daughter
Olive Shields are convalescing after being
patients in Alexandra Marine and General
Hospital and Londoti Hospital before
Christmas.
Due to stormy weather, Mr. and Mrs. Reg
Riehl spent Christmas at home with their
family.
We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Bruce
Falconer of Blyth to Colborne Township.
The euchre card parties sponsored by the
Colborne Recreation Committee held in Col-
borne Township Hall, Carlow, will begin
Thursday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. and will continue
every two weeks until mid-April. Ladies
please bring lunch.
The up -coming 4-11 Homemaking Club is
"Etiquette for the 80's” and meetings will

O Come Little Children. Junior and Senior
choirs joined together to sing Beautiful Hills

Two lovely solos, Love Came Down At
Christmas and Oh Holy Night were sung by
Mrs. Verlyn Shuttleworth of Chatham.
Senior choir rendered a lovely anthem,
Songs At The Stable. Recessional concluded
the service with the choir carrying lighted
candles from the sanctuary.
Sunday Worship on December 29 at Knox
United Church Service was in charge of the
minister Gary T. Shuttleworth. Organ

'Christine Busch played a'Selection from her
home land Germany on violin with Lori
Millian as pianist. The Junior Congregation
was in charge of Mrs. Gordon Gross and
