Families celebrate Christmas
A Happy New Year to everyone.
Don and Lee Shetler had their son Bob,
Heather and Matthew of Nile for Christer
Day. On the Saturday before Christmas
their daughter Joanne, her husband, Bob
Mahar and son, Mike of Burke, Virginia
visited.
Tim and Wanda Hodges and Bill, Marie
Park, Todd and Brad enjoyed Christmas
Day with the other members of their family
at the home of Mike and Val Bendig,
Goderich.
Gertrude Park visited on Christmas Day
in Auburn with Tom and Mildred Lawlor
and Jim and Deb Lawlor and girls.
Cynthia and Barry Anderson were with
Gail and Fran Huber and family in Goderich
for Christmas.
Ray and Gwen Copeland travelled to
Hanover on Christmas Day to enjoy the day
with Gwen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Klages.
Jim Stothers of Montreal, enjoyed the
holiday§ with his parents, Bob dad Helen
Stothers. Their daughter Jean, husband Rod
Jervis and granddaughter, Dana of
Goderich joined them. for Christmas which
they held on Boxing Day.'
Jean Broughton visited with son, Don and
his wife, Jane, granddaughter, Becky and
grandson, Robert in London for a few days
over Christmas.
Margaret Mole spent Christmas in Hen -
sail with daughter, Nancy and Jack Phillips
and family.
On Thursday, December 19, the Dungan-
non and area seniors enjoyed their fifth an-
nual Christmas dinner and get together. A
few members of the Willing Workers served
the delicious food prepared by the seniors
themselves.
Following the meal, there was a program
of entertainment.' Several people gave
readings or poems.

was accompanied on the ,piano by Roberta
I,inskill.
Ernie Durnin very capably performed
some toe tapping tunes on the mouth organ
to everyone's enjoyment. Ed Stiles played
the piano for the singing of Christmas carols
led by Roberta 1.Inskill
Margaret Errington gave her version,
with much humor, of a spectator to a ball
game for -tile first time.
'Following the' program, coffee and cake
was served in the lounge area of the Seniors
Centre.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cook and Kevin
visited on Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Cook and other members of the family„
in Goderich.
Happy Christmas birthday to little Jenni
Tucker who- was 3 years old on Christmas
Day. Best wishes also to. Holly Dauphin,
Jamie Chisholm, Rob Ohm, Robyn Dawson,
Nicole Sherwood, Heather Brindley •and
Kevin' de Bruyn who all celebrate December
birthdays.

visited with their grandparents, Irvine and
Colleen Eedy over the Christmas holidays.
On Christmas Day, their daughter Martha

and Bessie McNee were Alan and Sandra
McNee, Ed, Paul and Alanna, of London,
Eric, Kathy and Jeff McNee of Nile, Donna
and Jim Hayden, Laurie and Linda of Port
Albert, Lynda McNee, Tim, Mike and Kelly
and Florence Reed of Goderich. On New
Year's Day, Graham and Bessie visited
with the Hayden family at Port Albert.
Amy Wiggins and Ruth Ribey of Seaforth
visited with friends and relatives around the
area on Thursday.
Florence Reed of Goderich' and Lynda
McNee and family celebrated their
Christmas with Pat and Bill Thomson' and
family near Whitechurch the day before
Christmas. For New Year's, they •joined a
family gathering at the home df George and
Judy Smythe and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Chisholm and Col-
in, Leola and Donald Hartung of
Gowanstown, Alex and Lynn Chisholm and
Jack were Christmas Day guests of Dave
and Virginia Caesar.

A former resident of Auburn area, Russell
Bentley died this week at Huronview in his
88th year. Sympathy is extended to his fami-

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE
Christmas Eve Service Was held at Knox
United Church with the minister Gary T.
Shuttleworth in charge. The organist Mrs.
Barry Killian, pianist , Lori . Milian and
violinist' Christine Busch accompanied for
the singing of the carols. Lighting of the
Christ candle was lit by Rodger Cunn-
ingham. . '
