LETTERS
Dear Editor,
David Kilgour has drawn my attention to
an article in your issue of November 28,
concerning the, Huron County Genealogical
Society.
The article mentions that "queries were
read from persons searching for
information on the following names".
Included in the list was "Stanbury
( Clinton 1".
My father was Judge J.G.S. Stanbury who
was born in Bayfield and practised law for
many years in Exeter. We always
understood that the Clinton Stanburys were
cousins of ours and there is'rel`erence to that
family in the family tree which my brother,
Dr. W.S. Stanbury, prepared several years
ago.
If you would care to suggest to the person
who,_made the enquiry at the Society's
meing that he get in touch with me, we
may be able to be of mutual assistance.
I still treasure the early years of my life
spent in Huron County and the friendship
with a number of people with wham we are
still reasonably well acquainted.
1 can be reached at the Senate, Ottawa,
KIA0A4. Phone 613 092-6981.
Sincerely,
Richard .1. Stanbury, Q.C.
Senator.
