for councillors
Huron County councillors were in a four
per cent mood when it met Thursday,
December 6.
Council unanimously endorsed a recom-
mendation from its executive committee
authorizing a four -per cent increase for
committee and session pay in 1984. The in-
crease boosts the per diem rate to $73 and
$49 for a half-day session.
Also, the Warden's honorarium was in-
creased by four per cent to $4,160 for the
coming year.
Councillors also endorsed a travel,
allowance package that calls for the rate
to be increased to 19 cents per km for coun-
cillors with car allowances of $80 and 22
cents per km. for all others.

Broomball tourney

hosted their aa+nual broomball tournament,
on the weekend. The event was a big
success, with 36 teams competing for
$3,000 in prize money. Story and photos in

The Goderich Belles went on a scoring
spree and made the semi-finals before
bowing out, in 0 ringette tournament in
