The Midgets lost 5-2 and 6-2 respectively. In the first period, Parkhill dominated and scored three consecutive goals. Goderich finally put one on the scoreboard, with 6:31 left in the second period, when Tom Bean scored, assisted by Darren Con- nelly and Gary yrb. Then with X31 left, Gary Erb scored on a hard slapshot from the top ' of the circle, assisted by Ian MacKinnon. Goderich kept the pressure on, until their comeback was halted by two Parkhill goals. Goderich played well, considering they had 25 minutes in penalties. The penalty killers could not keep up with the Pkhill powerplay. Jeff Scott played a very good game in net, keeping Goderich in the game at crucial moments. Against Strathroy, penalties again were the major factor, as Goderich chalked up 38 minutes including a ten minute misconduct. The Goderich team was outplayed and out - skated as the whole team lacked sharpness. Strathroy scored twice in the first period, to take a 2-0 lead. At 14:17 Jim Beattie final- ly netted one. Brian. Chambers and Rod Nurse assisted on the play. Goderich continued to play sloppily as Strathroy scored three more, to make it 5-1 in their favour. Tom Beat, scored a short-handed goal at 8:30 of the third period in a losing cause. Mark Cauchi and Mark Burbine received assists. Mark Burbine has recovered from his knee injury, and played well Saturday. Strathroy added another goal to round out the scoring 6-2. Jay Williamson played quite well as he did not receive the best help from the rest of the team. Darren Connelly, Kevin Talbot, Darcy McGee and Shawn Larder all missed the, game. Hopefully the Goderich team can improve their play and keep the pena min down in future games. They play _ ' xeter tonight. Drew MacAuley scored twice; Brian Lamb, Jason Lajeunesse, Trevor Bazinet, and David Boyce all scored one goal and one assist; James McDade scored one goal; Jeff Phelan, Scott Mathieson and Jeff Kent, all assisted on one goal. In local Atom Houseleague action, White defeated Blue 2-1 in a December 3 contest. Blue opened the scoring on a goal by Drew MacAuley. assisted by James McDade and Ryan McClinchey. Jason Lajeunesse and Trevor Bazinete scored for White. Assisting were: Jason Duckworth Scott Creamer, Derek Stinson and Brian Larnb. belles split pair of games The Goderich Belles split a pair of ringette games with Stratford, in Goderich on November 25. After winning the first game, a 10-4 blowout, Goderich was edged by the visitors 8-7 in game two. In game one, Stacey Rean scored folly goals and assisted one one, for Goderich; Allison Graham scored three, Angie Chisholm scored two goals and one assist and Debbie O'Brien scored one goal and assisted on thtee.
