ORDER NOW PHONE524-842• Retired farmer dies at 81 • • • FRESH TURKEY • •. FRANK GORDON RAITHBY Frank Gordon Raithby of Auburn died in Clinton Public Hospital on Thursday, December 6 at the age of 81. He was born in East Wawanosh Township, Concession 1, on June 28, 1903 to John and Matilda ( Lansing) Raithby. The late Mr. Raithby farmed nearly all his life in Hullett Township and had a large maple syrup business for many years. In 1967, he retired to Auburn where he resided on Loftus Street. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Goderich and prior to that, he was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church where he served as deacon, treasurer and . Sunday School superintendent. He was also an adherent of the Huron Missionary Chapel. -le was predeceased by his first wife, Janet Thorn, in 1945. He was also predeceased by one sister, Mary Johnston in 1981. He married Viola Letherland'in 1948, She survives him. Also surviving him are three sons, Grant of Collingwood, John of Auburn and Harold of Vanastra; one brothed', Earl of Kincardine; 10 grandchildren; and four - great-grandchildren. Spring interment will be in Ball's Cemetery, Hullett Township. HAROLD BALLANTYNE KITCHEN Harold Ballantyne Kitchen died in, Hamilton on Monday, December 10. He is survived by his wife, Isabella. Robertson; two children, Mrs. William (Jane) Barrett of Woodstock and Dr. John Kitchen of Rochester, New York; son-in-law William Barrett; daughter-in-law Liliane Kitchen; two grandchildren, David and Kathryn Barrett; and one sister, Bernice Freele of Strathroy. A funeral service was held at the R.W. Elliott Funeral Home in Strathroy on Wednesday, December 12 at 1130 p.m. with internment in the family plot at Strathroy Cemetery. Special guests at the Rotary Club's luncheon held at the Bedford Hotel on Tuesday were the C'lub's exchange student from Mexico, Luz Ma Mendoza, and GDCI students Paul Alcock and Pamela Losereit. They spoke on the Chemical Valley Adventure tours at the various chemical companies in Sarnia. All three of them had been sponsored on these tours by the Goderich Rotary Club. Congratulations tb fellow Rotarian, Mac Campbell, for being awarded a Bicentennial Medal for outstanding volunteer work in the community.
