help the Easter Seals campaign while
helping themselves at the same time.
-Dominic Bradley and Gary Rupert of the

dieting and gathering pledges per pound lost
to raise money for the local Easter Seal
Society.
The duo weighed in in November and have
gathered; pledges for each pound they shed
until the final day of November. While
Dominic and Gary are making a determine, .
bid to lose weight and raise funds, they
inyite any determined dieter to participate
in the fund-raising program.

Board employees give
drama session to Grade 2-3
BY ANNETTE GRUENDLER '
AND TERESA MERIAM
Mrs. Ottewell's Grade 2 - 3 class had some
visitors this week, Mrs. Carol Simon and
Warren Robinson from the Huron County
Board of Eduction office. They did a drama
session which concentrated on action and
voice. The kids loved it!
Mr. Sygrove's class has been decorating
the classroom and has been watching video
tapes about Christmas.
Miss Jewitt's Grade 2 class has been mak-
ing decorations for their room, mitts,
snowmen and trees to put on the. wall. They
are also enjoying a wide variety of
Christmas activities at the centres in the
afternoons.
At noon hour and recess the juniors and
seniors play volleyball in the houseleague
and have a lot of fun.
Mrs. Worsell's Grade 3 class made large
Santas and Santamobiles in art this week.
Some were put on the bulletin board in
hall.
Mrs. Allen's Grade 5 class is busy practis-
ing for their Christmas play, "What Can I
Give?"
Mrs. Graham's Grade 4 is making
decorations for the concert and helping to
decorate the Christmas tree.
Mrs. Tebbutt's Grade 4 class is sending a
donation of $11 for the starving Ethiopian
people. It was Jesse Foster's idea.
Mrs. Blanchette's Grade 1 class is involv-
ed in Christmas activities, including pattern
book writing, cut paper pictures and splat-
ter painting.
In Mrs. Worsell's Grade 3, Rev. Scott was
guest story reader on Wednesday. He read
poetry and the story of Baby Jesus in Braille
and also showed samples of Braille books
,and his Braille typewriter.
Mrs. Cameron is making decorations for
the Kindergarten classroom and the pupils
are making coloured paper chains, etc.
