Brookside Broadcast Board employees give drama session to Grade 2-3 BY ANNETTE GRUENDLER ' AND TERESA MERIAM Mrs. Ottewell's Grade 2 - 3 class had some visitors this week, Mrs. Carol Simon and Warren Robinson from the Huron County Board of Eduction office. They did a drama session which concentrated on action and voice. The kids loved it! Mr. Sygrove's class has been decorating the classroom and has been watching video tapes about Christmas. Miss Jewitt's Grade 2 class has been mak- ing decorations for their room, mitts, snowmen and trees to put on the. wall. They are also enjoying a wide variety of Christmas activities at the centres in the afternoons. At noon hour and recess the juniors and seniors play volleyball in the houseleague and have a lot of fun. Mrs. Worsell's Grade 3 class made large Santas and Santamobiles in art this week. Some were put on the bulletin board in hall. Mrs. Allen's Grade 5 class is busy practis- ing for their Christmas play, "What Can I Give?" Mrs. Graham's Grade 4 is making decorations for the concert and helping to decorate the Christmas tree. Mrs. Tebbutt's Grade 4 class is sending a donation of $11 for the starving Ethiopian people. It was Jesse Foster's idea. Mrs. Blanchette's Grade 1 class is involv- ed in Christmas activities, including pattern book writing, cut paper pictures and splat- ter painting. In Mrs. Worsell's Grade 3, Rev. Scott was guest story reader on Wednesday. He read poetry and the story of Baby Jesus in Braille and also showed samples of Braille books ,and his Braille typewriter.
