Personalize your money gift
If you don't like Christmas shopping, the
gift for you to give is cash or gift cer-
tificates. It solves the confused gift -giver's
problems as well as proving itself to be a li-
quid asset.
The only reason most people avoid giving
cash is because of its lack of novelty. No one
gets as excited over a $10 bill as they might
an antique piece of jewelry.
Half the fun of Christmas is seeing the
happy faces of people who have received our
specially chosen gifts. That's why it would
be nice to disguise the money we give.
One way to give cash is in the form of gift
certificates. Most stores in Clinton, in-
cluding restaurants, have gift certificates.
Another way to disguise cash is to buy
tickets to concerts or upcoming plays. In
this area to have the Blyth Festival, The
Theatre Circle, the Huron Country
Playhouse and the Stratford Shakespearean
Festival to choose from for musical and
theatrical productions. Each offers special
Christmas packages and attractive cards to
accompany thegift.
For the more traditional, cash cards are
popular ways to give money gifts. To per-
sonalize -your present, include a special note
and decorate the card envelope with a
Christmas bow or tree ornament.
Money gifts can also be given in unusual
and imaginative ways. Try tucking a crisp
new bill under the neck ribbon or collar of a
cute stuffed animal. Or bury the new bill in
the folds of tissue paper, wrap in a huge box
and let the gift receiver make the discovery.
Buy a pair of new socks, tuck the a bill in-
side, or fill a piggy bank with your gift in
coins.
Unusual or traditional, for that hard to
buy for person, money can become a per-
sonalized gift with a little imagination, love
and forethought.
