Household glue, paint, paper doilies, drinking cups, 3 sizes of tree decorations and, believe it or not, drinking straws are the magic supplied for an artistic effort. Easy -to -follow directions require simply covering a 15 -inch square of smooth masonite or beaver board with flat white paint. When it dries, glue on three straws in each of the four corners, 6 inches for the long and 41/2 inches for the short lengths. Glue 6 -inch doilies to the four outer sections, between the straws. Then, spray the entire board with a desired color of aerosol paint or enamel. Vary the tones of the coating by making the edges of the board darker. Allow enough time to dry. • Glue eight 2 -inch star decorated paper cups in a circle and place small ornaments in the spaces between. Place four cups on the second tier and secure one upright in the center. Glue medium sized ornaments in all the cups but the upright which should have one twice as large.
