Bantams win
The Goderich Elevator Bantams led by
the two-goail performances of Greg. Alcock
and Scott Garrow, beat Parkhill 7-5, even-
ed their record in the league play to -5-5 and
1.
The Parkhill team opened the scoring at
1.10 of the first period. Goderich evened it
up 33 seconds later with Dan McDougall
scoring, from Alcock.
The Parkhill team Cook the lead again at
8.16 but Goderich evened it up and went
ahead to stay, with three straight goals,
the 1st being scored by George Sideris,
assisted by Mike Beange and Jason
Million. •
The next two were scored by Alcock, the
first unassisted, the second assisted by
Garrow.
The Parkhillt scored its third goal
at 10.26 of the third period and only some
key saves by goaltender Tom Durnin when
Goderich was not playing well allowed
them to regroup.
The next two goals were again scored by
Goderich - one at the end of the second and
one at the beginning of the third period.
Both goals were scored by Garrow. The
first assist went to Bill Whetstone and Jeff
Boyce and the second by Mike Beange.
Parkhill scored two quick goals in the
middle of the third period, to make the
score 6-5.
Goderich finished the scoring at 10.41 of
the third period, on a slap shot by Boyce
from the blue line, assisted by Alcock.
Atoms edged
Goderich Atoms were edged 5-4 by
Parkhill, in a Shamrock League. hockey
game played here, December 1.
Goderich led the way in the early going -
scoring the first goal and leading 3-2 after
one period. However, Parkhill outscored the
local team in the second and third frames to
take the win.
Jason Jeffrey scored two goals for
Goderich, while Sam Hosack and Jeff
Beange scored singles.
Todd. Papple, Jason Cook, Shawn Carver,
Jason Hayter and Andrew McLarty each
assisted on one Goderich Goal.
ATOM B
Goderich Atom B's overwelmed Lucknow
6-1, in a hockey game played December 1, in
Lucknow.
Drew MacAuley and Jason Lajeunesse
�each scored twice for Goderich, with
)MacAuley also drawing an assist. Trevor
Bazinet and Scott Mathieson each scored
once, Bazinet,--also assisted on a goal.
drew Scott had a three -assist game and
R an Farrish assisted on one goal.
Jamie Redmond did a standout job
eeping pucks out of the Goderich net.

The Kincardine Kinucks goalie is down as a Clinton Mustang and Kinucks player scramble
for the puck during Junior C action at the Goderich arena Sunday night. The Kinucks won
the game 6-4. The Mustangs have been playing their home games in Goderich while the Clin-
ton arena is tied up with a tournament. They will host the Port Elgin Bears in Goderich this

The Goderich Atom B team outscored
Lucknow 5-1, to win an exhibition game,
November 26 in Goderich.
Goderich got on the scorboard first, when
Dave Boyce scored, the first of his two goals
in the game, in the first period. Lucknow
replied in the second frame, to tie the game,
but four unanswered goals by Goderich put\
the game on ice.. - - ...
Trevor Bazinet had a goal and an assist
for Goderich, as did Andrew Scott and Jason
Lajeunesse netted a single goal. Assisting
on goals were: Scott Creamer (3) , Ryan
Farrish (2) and Bryan Lamb, Jeff
Phelan,and Steve Hogan, with one each.
Pee WOES win big
After a lacklustre performance the
preceding _ week against Strathroy, the
Goderich Lions Pee Wees displayed the
kind of game they're capable of playing,
with a 10 - 2 rout of Parkhill last Saturday
at home.
Parkhill tallied in the first minute of the
contest but after that it was all Lions, as
they skated and backchecked their oppos-
tion into the ice while maintaining their
usual good passing game.
Three quick goals in the first period gave
the locals a lead they would not surrender.
In the ,,second five more tallies were
recorded giving Goderich an 8 - 2 -lead go-
ing into the third.
In this period, they talked twice more
and kept the opposition off the scoreboard.
Jeff Hodge led the point parade with
three goals and two assists; Shaun Talbot
had one goal, four assists; Chris O'Neill
was good for two goals, two assists; Tim
Harrison one goal, two assists; Brian Lane
one goal, one assist.
Single goals went to Kevin Moss and
Sean O'Brien, and assists went to Aaron
Duckworth two; Andre Cauchi and Lonnie
Rumig, one each.
The Lions will be at home again this
weekend, as they take on Lucan for a 6
p.m. game, Saturday.
PEEWEE B
Goderich Pee Wee B's swept a recent
home -and -home hockey series with Huron
Park.
Goderich narrowly won a home game by
a 1-0 count on November 16 and then
handed Huron Park an 8-3 beating in a

Kelly McDonald scored, the lone goal in
the first game, assisted by Allen Brindley
and Sean Bloch.
In the 8-3 win, Goderich scored three
goals in the first period and five in the
third, while their opponents could only
manage one per -frame.
Steve Tzsmouis scored two goals and one
assist for Goderich. Allan Brindley scored
twice, Cary- Erb had a goal and three
assists, Brad Allan and Jason LeBeau had
one • goal and one assist each, Kelly
McDonald scored a goal and assisting on
one goal each -were: M. Stigenstad, Doug
MacDonald, Mark Kinahan and Chris
McDonald.
Goalkeepers Jason Dempsey and Colin
MacKinnon played well for Goderich.
Coach Ted Williams said this game was
the best team effort this season and the
team's passing and skating have improved
immensely.
New hockey
body formed
The formation of the Hockey Develop-
ment Centre- for Ontario (HDCO) and the
appointment of an advisor for the centre,
His Honour Judge Joseph Kane, of the coun-
ty court, were announced recently by
Reuben Baetz, Minister of Tourism and
Recreation.
"I know the HDCO executive will find
satisfactory solutions to the important
challenges facing amateur hockey in the
province," said Mr. Baetz. "The govern-
ment wishes to avoid legislative intrusion
into amateur sport. we have sought means
whereby hockey administrators could get
together to resolve common problems and
provide for the future of Canada's most
popular sport."
The HDCO promotes technical and skills
development, through such programs as of-
ficiating and coaching clinics. It also pro-
vides a co-ordinated voice for amateur
hockey in Ontario and a "one window"
organization to resolve hockey issues such
as league boundaries. residence re-
quirements, age and sex exclusions and
rules of play. The HDCO sponsors other pro-
grams such as parent education.
The HDCO executive will include presi-
dent Pat Doherty, of Kitchener -Waterloo,
vice-president Karlo Bubalo, of Sudbury;
secretary Fran Rider of Toronto and
treasurer Frank Libra, of Ottawa.
