Once again Joan Burleigh led her team with 208, 198, and a 569 triple. Trouble came through with two points, due to the efforts of Audrey Brindley with a 264 and a 595 triple plus Ver- na Jackson's 215, 490 triple. The Marionettes are only two points out of the lead, as they split the points with the Blazers. Betty Fisher was the high roller with 202, 277, for a 652 triple to take 4 points. The Blazers came away with total pins to take three points. Jean Pinder led the way with a 270 single and a 613 triple. The Oldtimers came away with seven points, as they were bowling against their own averages. Bev Million led her team with 267 and a 574 triple. Kris Million also had a good night with a 222 single and a 539 triple. Shirl's Girls came away with seven points. Shirley Kennedy led her team with a 288, 682 triple. Anne McCartney led the No - Names with 213 and 590 triple. We are now down to four ladies on two teams competing in the high -low tourna- ment. They are Joan Burleigh and partner Barb Almasi, Verna Jackson and Shirley Kennedy. MONDAY NIGHT MEN Little Bowl rose from fifth spot in the stan- dings, to second. Led by Al sanders with a 363 single and 827 triple, they dominated Selinger-Wood.by a score of 22-8. Don Car- rick rolled a 341 single and 750 triple to keep Selinger in the running. John Miller, with a 662 triple, helped John's Jokers take a 19-11 win over Mur- phy's Landing. A 718 from Art Burt and two match wins from Ken Johnston kept the Landing in contention and helped them re- tain first place. Paul Bartliff came through with a 638 tri- ple, to lead the A Team to a 19-11 win over French Cleaners. An 820 triple from Al Smith on French might have saved the team from a big loss. In the final match, the Poverty Pak took a 18-12 decision from the Tail Ends. Greg Lit- tle rolled a 648 for the Pak. Dennis Schmidt was high man for the Tail Ends, with a 665. TUESDAY MIXED LEAGUE The Bold Eagles increased their lead with a 7-0 win over Barb's Gang. Carl Ziebarth and Tom Allen had their best nights of the season. Carl rolled a 255 single and 680 triple while Tom had a 273 single and 639 triple. Barb Chapman had a laig night for the Gang with a 293 single and 749 triple. The Dirty Half Dozen had a tough night over a stubborn Pin Pickers team, but managed a 5-2 win. The Dirty Half had five bowlers over 600 with Manfred Popernitsch having a 260 single and 703 triple. Joe Ducharthe rolled a 651 triple. Bruce Baker and Dick McLean both had 700 plus night's but could only manage three points, from the determined ?'s team. Bruce led the Six's with his best night rolling a 247 single and 726 triple. Don Henry and Lee Lit- tlechild rallied the ?'s rolling 644 and 626 tri- ple respectively. Chris Connor led the Frame Ups tpp a 7-0 win over die Unknowns: 'Chris rolled'a'265" single and 738 triple. Al Fisher was the high Unknown rolling a 612 triple. Jack Gilbert and Francis Merkley led the G.M.C.'s to a 5-2 win over the Unpredic- tables. Jack and Francis rolled 689 and 685 triples. Grace Mugford was high for the Un- predictables with a 646 triple. Bob Langendoen had a good night as Bell's Angels shut out the Tailenders 7-0. Bob rolled a 293 single and 668 triple. Jim Martin was the high Tailender rolling a 571 triple. WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON LADIFS Dorothy Cuyler, with 94 pins over average helped Mary's Golds skunk Daffy Dillies. Tiger "Lillies" with a 258 from Barb Pigg and 245 and 605 from Rose Rising got the up- per hand in their match against Doreen's Daisies who had a 229 and 576 from Audrey Brindley. Sheila Brownlee led Snapdragons with 253 and 607 to five points from Forget-Me-Nots in spite of Shirley Smith's 232, 312, and 718. Irene Todd, of the Bluebelles, rolled a 241 and 623 to help her team defeat Roses 5-2. Roses' high lady was Marlene Black with 209 and 571. Sharron Henry rolled 114 pins over average for the Tulips, who took five points from Carnations. Cathy Huisser also bowled 115 pins over average. Sweet Peas won 5-2 over Buttercups. Helen Russell had a 200 and Gwyn McRae a 527. Marian Millar had a 522 for Sweet Peas. THURSDAY NIGHT LADIES Trouble Makers took five points with Sheila Brownlee rolling a 535 triple. Spare Parts took two points with Carrie Middel having a triple of 548. Wallbangers lost to What Not's. Dianne Scott had a 242 game while many of the What Not's did well. Linda Rodger was their high bowler with a 623 triple. Alleycats fell to defeat from Team Canada. Veronique Harman was high bowler for the Alleycats with a 470 triple. Alice Koopmans in Team Canada had a 515 triple. Yo Yo's took five points with Marj Smith having a 551 triple. The Nighthawks took two points, with Denise Aubut having a good game of 224. THURSDAY MIXED Joan Eisenbach, with a triple of 636, led the Dizastors to a 4-3 split over the Semis. Bob Johnston with a 612 triple kept the game close. The "A" Copycats. and Grant Langlois also had a super day rolling 665 and 654 triples respectively. The G.D.C.Y girls' team placed sixth, with a total pinfall of 2177, YBC BANTAMS The Ups and Downs took five points from the Pin Heads. Ryan Million had high double for the Ups and Downs with a 259. Allan Brindley rolled a 250 double for the Pin Heads. The Spare Parts took five points from the Gutters. Jackie Gilders rolled a 267 double for the Spare Parts while Derek Rumig roll- ed a 307 double for the Gutters. The Alley Cats took five points from the Alley Gators. Wayne Pellow rolled a 370 double for the Alley Cats. Kevin Fritzley had a fine week despite the loss with a 341 double. The Bowling Bombs blasted the Head Pins, taking 5 points. Michael McCabe roll- ed a 266 double for the Bombs while Jeff Kent had a 232 double for the Head Pins. The Lane Busters split games with the Corner Pins, winning 3-2: Niki Machan and Denis Lassaline rolled 298 and 283 doubles respectively for the Lane Busters; while Jason Clarke and Mark Armstrong rolled 305 and 301 doubles for the Corner Pins. The Bowling Balls split games with the Perfect Games 3-2. Tracy Melick rolled a 223 for the Bowling Balls while Jeff Rumig rolled a 259 double for the Perfect Games. YBC RESULTS BY TIP In action this week, the Gutters Bowlers won a 5-2 decision over the Little Bowlers. Ken Webb led the team with a 517 triple. Grant Langlois had a 644 triple for the Little Bowlers. The.Triple Strikes split a 4-3 decision over the knockouts. Terry Chambers rolled a 418 triple for the Triple Strikes while Julie Melick had high triple for the knockouts with a 517. The Four Acres won an easy 7-0 victory over the Pin Busters. Jeff Coulter had a 545 triple for the Pin Busters. The Lane Busters won a 5-2 decision over Head Pins Revenge. Lora McInnis rolled a 495 triple for the Lane Busters while Paul Good had a 561 triple for Revenge. Strike Zone II continued their winning ways, as they hammered the Pin Strikers 7- 0. im Gerrits and Calvin Knight rolled 6 and 659 triples respectively. Dave Brenn had a good week for the Pin Strikers rolling a 272 single and 572 triple. FORRESTERS SUNDAY MIXED Presidents Choice took Hascal's Rascals for a 4-3 split, this put Presidents Choice in a two way tie for first place with Dan's Fans with 26 points. Presidents Choice Larry Wilson had a 255. For Hascal's Rascals, Doug Haskell had a 633 triple. The 10's, tied with Hascal's Rascals for last place with 17, took Dan's Fans for a 5-2 split. Bombers, now in second place with 23 points gave up a 5-2 split with 4th place Ups and Downs. Ups and Downs' bowler Ted Johnston had a 814 triple. Bombers' Brian Mdlean had a 604 triple. Arlie's Harlies took seven from Spark "E". Arlene Curran had a 589 triple. Spark "E"s Karen Webster had a 231, high single for the ladies. WEDNESDAY NIGHT MIXED Ernie's Roadhouse beat Leftovers for 14, in a double -points game played this week, leading the way for Ernie's was Ed Britnell, with a 532 triple, while Ron McCartney was tops #or the Leftovers with 566. John Allen rolled a 637 to lead the Hotel Bedford to a seven -point win over the Ghost Busters. Dave Britton rolled 268, for the Busters. Go Getters took seven from A & P, with Kevin Meriam bowling a 594 and Marylou Melick a 588. Lee Ryan's 288 single and 727 triple took to honors for the men this week and he led his team to a five point win over the Country Kids. Gerry Bells 583 triple was tops for the Kids. Jeff Cox rolled a 278 single and 693 triple for the R Gang, as they took three points from the Falcons. Sony Moore's 679 was tops for the falcons. SENIOR CITIZEN BOWLING Art's Tarts beat the Headpins taking all owling seven ;, i ants. Jim Watson with a 570 triple was hot or the Tarts, while Ed Smythe's 618 was best or the Headpins. The Vinis also took seven points from the Jems. Vi Baynard, 515 was on of the top bowlers of the Vims. Mabel Young, 415, tried hard for the Jems. Marie Park had a big 260, to help the Mad - caps get two points from the G&Ms. Gwyn McRae, 240, bowled very well for the G&Ms. Ups and Downs won 2 games from the Pin Pickers. Esther Murphy, 187, was high for the Ups & Downs and Percy Blundell had 184 for the Pickers. Ed's Girls got five points in their games against the Scatterbrains. Ed Taylor, 198, and Margaret Hornblower, 191, were high scorers for the Girls with Kay Glen, 177, for the Scatterbrains. fridge Club participates On November 20 the Goderich Duplicate Bridge Club participated in a Continent - Wide Charity Game. An 11 -table Mitchell game was directed by Cathy McDonald with the average being 84 points. North-South winners with an overall top of 1001/2 points were Marg Hall and John Wood. Jean Cook and Verna Worthy placed second with 981/2 points, followed by Bill Bradley and John Donatis with 91 and Theresa Donatis and Arlene Gibbons with 891/2. In the East-West direction, Mary Ann Dempsey and Dawna Sproule placed first with 991/2 points, followed by Pat Stringer and Cathy McDonald with 961/2. Third place winners were Eleanor Erskine and Mary Donnelly with 941/2 points. Auleen Curry and Jean Papernick tied tor fourth place with Betty and Ray Fisher with 92. There were three tables in play. Thursday afternoon, November 22. The winners with 29 points were Lynn Todgham and the direc- tor Eleanor Erskine. Pat Stringer and Theresa Donatis were second with 281/2, followed by Betty and Ray Fisher with 271/2 and Ralph Kingswell and Bill Duncan with 251/2 points. r won a 5-2 split over the �e Berry led the attack bowl- ing a 659 riple. Neil Maxwell, with a 256 single; along with Elsa Fickert's 222 single, tried to rally the Copycats. The Four Seasons also won a 5-2 split, defeating the Night Owls. Julie Foxton with a 190 single led the Four Seasons to victory. Margaret Cook with a 170 single and Lois Rowe's 165 were the high garnes for the Night Owls. VIKING BOWLERS BY TIP Last Sunday, the Cr.D.C.I. bowling teams went down to London to compete in a tourna- ment. G.D.C.I. competed against other high schools from London, Woodstock, Port Elgin and Hanover. In the boys' category, the G.D.C.I. Vik- ings placed a close third, with 3017 total pin - fall.
