The Zone Finals for the Y.B.C. Senior
Mixed Championships were held here last
Sunday. The top three girls and top three
boys made up a mixed team that will ad-
vance to the Provincial Finals. Two;
Goderich bowlers Tim Gerrits and Bev.
Harrison will be on that team.
There were nine girls competing for the
three positions on the team. Pam Sen-
sabaugh, of Owen Sound came in first, with
a five game total of 1050. Bev Harrison plac-
ed second, bowling the high single for girls'
with a 267 and finishing with 985. Carla
Bumstead, of Owen Sound finished third
with 951.
Twenty-three boys competed for the other
three positions on the team. Ray Bitton, of
Listowel placed first, with a five game total
of 1148; Tim Gerrits placed second with 1129 •
and Barry Waymouth, of Owen Sound third;

who had three good games to really improve
her average. Alley Cats took 2 points with

The GDCI midget girls' basketball team
won a, league game and captured the con-
solation championship in a tournament in
Stratford last week.
In league action here Thursday, the Vik-
ings had little trouble outscoring Exeter 56 -
27.
Mary Jo Evans, with 14 points, Rhonda
Teal with 12 and Tammy Talbot with 10
were Vikings in double figures. Maureen
Stapleton added eight, Pam Fritzlev had six
and Debbie Habel, Amber LeBeau and Deb-
bie U'Bnen had two apiece for the winners.

games to complement their offensive ef-

Volleyball Junior boys complete season

The GDCI Junior hoys' volleyball team
finished their regular season last week, with
matches in Mitchell and Stratford. Tuesday
in Mitchell, coach Ron Lane's squad
Wednesday, in Stratford, the Vikings won
two and lost four games, giving them a
regular season record of 16 wins and 14
losses. The Vikes will now advance to the
playoffs.

also split a pair with Central Huron, winning
