Even though the Goderich Lioness Club is getting started, they have tried to make themselves known in the community. Just five days after their first meeting, they had a float in Canada Day parade announcing "New Baby in Town", they held a very successful lawn and bake sale, and they served a Pancake Breakfast at the harbour when Goderich was visited by the Tall Ships. Man charged with murder once lived in Exeter area EXETER - The recent 20 -hour police siege in Woodstock had more than a passing in- terest for members of the Exeter police department... Not only did they feel the pain of learning of the death of a fellow policeman, they knew the man who was in the house and was subsequently charged with one count of first-degree murder, one of second-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder, four of armed robbery and one of kidnapp- ing. In fact, many local citizens may have known the suspect perhaps not by name, but possibly they had seen him. Dennis Colic, the 22 -year-old charged following the death of two policemen and a civilian in shootings in Montreal and Woodstock, lived in the Exeter area for a period of time in 1981. Acting police chief Kevin Short said he ar- rested Colic in 1981 after the latter kicked a local resident in the face in an unprovoked assault. The victim was sitting outside the Exeter outlet of Mac's Milk mall at the time of the incident. Colic subsequently appeared in Exeter court on May 26 of that year and was sentenced to 90 days in jail on the assault charge. 2H0 Draft Registration Name Address Phone Number _ __-- Age Lost teem played for Signature ELIGIBILITY Must be 19 years of age by October 20, 1984.
