A session on 'Low Calorie Cooking in the Microwave Oven' will be held in Goderich Township' Hall, Holmesville on Wednesday, September 5 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. There will be a demonstration by Joan Winfield, author r l and freelance nce of 'Microwave Miracles' writer with articles in Canadian Living and the Farm and Country. Cost is $3 per person and pre -registration is necessary. A 'Wise Money Management' course w�1 be held September 11 in Winghan , September 12 in Clinton and September 13rfn Centralia, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. This course involves basic money management for the 1 me, including record keeping (financial /planning, cash flow, net worth, filing, personal and family records), financial security (insurances) and the use of credit and credit ratings. Cost is $5 and pre- registration is necessary as there is limited enrolment in each session. Karen is presently employed at St. Joseph's Hospital in London. She is a 1981 graduate of GDCI. +++ DAVID SMITH [)avid Smith, son of Fred and Cath Smith of Goderich, graduated from Waterloo University on May 26 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. David has been granted a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council r,olarship and is continuing his studies • irdF Masters Degree in Electrical Meering at the University of Waterloo. In 1983, he received a K.A. degree in Economics. Kevin attended Colborne Central Public S� hool and Goderich District Collegiate.
