They left the Peerson, Airport on July 29

- Over 70 Chamneys were taken on a tour of
Glendalough County, including Ballyraine
House at Shellelagh, the first Chamney

over 30 Irish Chanmeys for a banquet and,
dance at the Avonlon Hotel. Shellelagh.
The Wawanosh C'hanuieys, as they are
known, trace their ancestors back to 1849
when Bud's great-grandfather. Richard
came to Kingston, Ontario. A year later, he
came to East Wawanosh and settled in the
Donnybrook area. In 1865 John ('hanuiey,
grandfather of Bud, took up residence on the
farm where Robert Chamney lived for
many years before retiring to Auburn. Nine-
teen descendants of the late Robert
Chamney attended the family reunion.

Take care before
you start to jog
If this is the summer you're going to get in
shape by jogging, St. John Ambulancejfas
some tips to help you make sure you don't do
yourself any harm, particularly if you're not
used to exercise. A lot of mystique .has
grown up around the exercise, but basic,
common sense rules still apply.
Begin by checking with your family
physician to find out whether you're in
shape for jogging.
Find out what kind of exercises you can do
to get into condition before you actually run,
and what kind of warm up you should do
immediately before each run.
Start gradually, don't overdo. You may be
tired when you finish your run, but you
shouldn't be exhausted.
Dress sensibly. Wear good footwear that
fits you properly. Wear loose clothing, sweat
suits or shorts; restrictive clothing can
cause friction burns. Wear woollen socks
that will absorb perspiration.
In hot weather, wear a brimmed hat or an
eyeshade. The best time to jog is in the cool
of the morning or evening. Wait at least ati
hour and a half after a heavy meal.
If you do feel any distress, walk f a
while, and breathe deeply.
If you get a blister, , don't puncture
Wash your foot wel.; ldryItthoroughly, and if
necessary, cover,it with a dry dressing. If it
does come opt guard against infection by
washing it and covering it with a clean
dressing. The best first aid treatment
beyond that is to rest with your washed and
dried foot elevated and exposed to air.
