harness races Thursday
The races held last Thursday at the
Goderich Raceway were hindered by two
unfortunate accidents.

third race when Benmiller Jae made a
break, taking Carl Fisher's Dallas Kate, and
H.O. Jerry's Banquet Boy down.
The second accident Thursday evening
occurred after the sixth race. Allan'Sadler

The ninth and feature race, of the evening

McBride's Peter Wave, ,,,driven by Ross
Battin. It was Battin's third. win on
Thursday night as he guided Peter Wave to
the finish in 207.
Setons Choice was second and Charlie
Brindley's mare Rustie Helene was third.
Just to add an interesting note - both Peter
Wave and Rustic Helene moved up in class
and finished very well against a tough bunch
of horses. -
Ross Battin started his winning streak in
the second race when he drove Merrywood

the mile in 2:05. Battin picked up his second
win on a late catch drive as he won the
eighth r -ace with Freddie Flanagan. Freddie

Noble Amy is in to race again this Thursday
evening as the competition keeps getting''

Linton Rodger in the first race and Garmor
Natalie in the eighth. The races begin at 7:45
