Mr. and Mrs. Blaise Doherty
Joanne Vnn Osch and Blaise Doherty were
- united in "marriage at St. Joseph's Catholic
Church, Kingsbridge, on Saturday, May 26.
Joanne, the daughter 'of Mr. and Mrs.
William and Anne Van Oseh of Kintail and
Blaise, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and
Loretta Doherty of Port Albert, spent their
honeymoon in the Poconos. Best man was
Mark Doherty, brother of the groom. The
maid of honour was Sally Van Osch, the
bride's sister. The couple now resides in

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Lecomte
Daniel Ernest Lecomte, son of Marcel
Lecomte of North Bay, and Beverly Darlene
Rutledge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Hulley of Goderich, were united in marriage
at Victoria Street United Church, Goderich
by the Reverend John Wood on June 23.
Maid of honor was Donna Rutledge of
Toronto, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids
were Brenda Martel of Godericht„ cousin of
the bride, and Lisa Moore of Thronto and
Laurie Tigert of Egmondville, friends of the
bride. Groomsman was Tim Allen of Toron-
to, brother-in-law of the groom. Guests were
ushered into the church by John Hulley,
brother of the bride, Michael Lecomte of
Toronto, brother of the groom, and Larry
Essex of Goderich.--cousin of ' the bride.
Following the wedding ceremony, a recep-
tion was held at Saltford Valley Hall. After
their honeymoon to Florida, Dan and Bev
took up residence at 4243A Dundas Street,
Toronto.
Jail celebrates
anniversary JP
Mr. and Mrs. Marlowe Austin
Marlowe John Austin, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Vincent Austin of Kingsbridge, and°Deborah'
Lynn Daer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reg
Good of Goderich and Edgar Daer of
Auburn, were married in Knox
Presbyterian Church, Goderich by the
Reverend G.L. Royal on June 16. Matron of
honor was Chris Williams of Stratford,
friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tracy
Hamming of Kinburn and Patti Reid of
Goderich, friends of the bride, Kathy Austin
of Goderich, sister-in-law of the groom and
Kim Daer of Auburn, sister of the bride.
Junior bridesmaids were Angela Good of
Goderich, sister of the bride and Lisa
Durnin of Goderich, niece of the groom. Best
man was Leonard Kohnert of Goderich,
friend of the groom. Guests were ushered
into the church by Peter Kohnert of
Goderich, friend of the groom, Brian Good
of Goderich, brother of the bride, Barry
Austin of Goderich, brother of the groom
and John Good of Goderich, brother of the
bride. Ringbearers were Timothy Good of
Goderich, nephew of the bride and Owen
Rourke of Dungannon, nephew of the groom.
Following the . wedding ceremony, a
reception was held at Saltford Valley Hall.

The Huron Historic Jail will be
celebrating its 10th anniversary on Saturday
with a Victorian tea on the lawn and guided
tours., Inside the jail, staff members will be
performing courtroom skits.
According to Curator Harold Erb, the jail
opened its doors to the public in 1974. Last
year approximately 15,000 people passed
through the jail and there have already been
4.00u visitors since May this year.
School tours. senior citizens and people
visiting Huron County go through the jail.
Erb says that the have had people as far
away from Japan tour the jail.
The courtroom skits, which will be based
more on comedy than fact, will be
performed on Saturday at 11 a.m. and from
l-3' p.m. The tea will follow on the lawn

Paul Ross is pleased to announce the
graduation of his wife, Heather Joy
Ross, on June 8 from the Faculty of
Law, University of Western Ontario,
with her Bachelor of "Laws. Heather
graduated in the top 15 per cent of her
class and in her three years in law
school she won two awards: for the
highest standing in her etas& in Torts
and for the highest standing in her class
in Civil Liberties and Human Rights. In
1982, she won a law school bursary to at-
tend an international conference on
Human Rights, held at the University of
Prince Edward Island. She was also
elected Magister of Rand Inn, the
University of Western Ontario branch
of Phi Delta Phi, the International
Legal Fraternity. Heather is currently
articling with Paul Ross, Barrister and
Solicitor in Seaforth.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Mark DeWinter
Victoria Denise 'King and Louis Mark
DeWlnter were married on May 26, 1984 at
St. Peter's Church in Goderich. Father
Michael Cundari officiated. The bride is the
daughter of Patrick and Leslie King, and the
groom is the son of Marcel and Diane
DeWinter, all of Goderich. Maid of honour
was Deborah Searls of London, and
Stephanie King of Goderich and Andrea
DeWinter of Toronto were bridesmaids.
Groomsman was Michael Paquette of
Brantford, and Michael King of Windsor,
Geoffrey King of Goderich, and Gregg
DeWinter of, Goderich were ushers. A
reception was held at the Goderich
Township Hall after the wedding. Following

Mrs. Louis DeWinter took up residence at66

Ronald Siddon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Siddon of R.R. 5 Kincardine, and Brenda "
McGuire, daughter of Mrs. Muriel McGuire
of R.R. 3 Goderich and the late Donald
McGuire, were married in Knox

bride. Ringbearer was Sam Wall of
Kincardine, nephew of the groom. Following
the wedding ceremony, a reception was held
at Saltford Valley Hall. After a wedding trip
to the Muskokas, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald
Siddo,n took up residence at R.R. 5
