At last! We've made it! This year we. are
the Grade 8 graduating class -so tonight is
our special night.
Mr. Jewitt, teachers, fellow graduates
and guests, it has been nine years since most
of us first came to Colborne -a short nine
years when we -look back. So much has
happened to us that it doesn't seem like it
could all be packed into that space of time.
We have grown from shy, nervous five'
year olds into confident young adults.
Growing from the unco-ordinated, freckle -
faced Kindergarten kids into the fine young
ladies and handsome young men you see
now, has been a chore in itself without the
added bonus of going to school
But we made it and with pride. Through
that transition period we Grade 8's have
shared fun and laughter, wins and losses,
sorrows and fears. We have learned to
attack and solve problems, accept new
challenges, and overcome failures.
Fond memories of Colborne are tucked
into the backs of our minds. For me, I
remember the fun that I had when I played
on the school teams, especially when we
