Brenda Gibson said the Grace and Koreen Jeurgens proposed a toast to Flag and Country. The ladies of Trinity U.C.W. catered for the meal and were Blanked by Leisa Rau. Donna Raynard, "Karen Elliott and Penny Moss each played a piano solo. Don Cameron and Don Tremeer'condtict- ed the introduction of graduates and presen- tation of resen-tation.of diplomas. Bars were presented to several students for their special effort by Mr. Cameron. Sports awards were present- ed by D, D. Graham and' Ross Errington. Guest speaker, Audrey Tiffin of Wing - ham, was introduced by Barbara Smith and thanked by Stephanie ,Durnin. The Valedic- torian was Donna Raynard„ The following awards were presented: Memorial Paul Caesar Award for most improved students in English, presented by Joyce Caesar to Bonnie Henderson and Kirk Livingston; Proficiency Award from Dungan- non Women's Institute presented by Ila Crozier, to Karen Elliott; Science Award from Ashfield Federation of Agriculture and Farmer's Union presented by Teresa Courtney to Kevin Black; Science Award from West Wawanosh Federation of Agricul- ture presented by Cecil Cranston to 'Karen Elliott; Mathematics Award from St. Helens. Tuesday, June 26 was the last day of school for the students but teachers had to • attend until Friday,' June 29. They were busy with meetings, workshops, planning ses- sions for next year and class room iirganization. ' Kindergarten graduation for class 1 was held on Monday afternoon and for class 1 on Tuesday morning. This was Mrs. Jolly's'last day at Brookside as Dr. and Mrs. Jolly and• Timothy are ,moving to Ottawa for a .year while Dr. Jolly takes a course.
