L jiI SIGNA.1.ST,' PNESDAY, JUN 27,1984 z1 Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Samuel Nichols Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jermyn of Goderich are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter, Laura Mae Ross to Douglas Samuel Nichols, son of William and Eva Nichols of Rupert, Idaho. The marriage took place June 14 at Twin Falls, Idaho. The groom is a graduate of Brigham Young University, Utah. The happy couple will be residing in Ogden, Utah. MS Society to hold meeting In an effort to promote an awareness of the work of the national Multiple Sclerosis Society, a group of Goderich residents will hold a special meeting Thursday to organize a Goderich Unit of the society. A small group of individuals, who want to organize a local unit, hope to attract enough interest at the meeting at MacKay Hall, Thursday, June 28 at 7.30 p.m., to generate interest in the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Organizers hope to talk about the recent fund-raising campaign, including the Carnation Day campaign, and determine if there is sufficient interest in the Goderich area to form a unit with an executive. Everyone is welcome to attend the organizational meeting. Organizers of the meeting say the concept behind organizing a local unit is to create public awareness in the society and its work and perhaps, increase the funding of the society. Support services for MS victims are available from University Hospital in London which acts as a resource area but a local unit could possible set up something in the immediate area. 4-H leaders attending camp Leadership is a very difficult concept to define; even the dictionary has trouble. Before any of us can really understand it, we must have the opportunity to experience it. As a result, a Provincial 4-H Leadership Week is held each June. During this week, delegates develop com- munication, social recreation and leader- ship skills. As well, they have the chance to make many new friends. This year, Leadership Camp is being held at Olympia Sports Camp which is near I iuntsville. Delegates representing Huron are: Allan 1'yrn, RR 2, Centralia; Elizabeth Stewart, RR 1, Dublin; Carol Rintoul, RR 2. I.ucknow; and Dinette Steffens, RR 1. Lucan. These 4 -Hers will be at Leadership (:amp until June 29. These Goderich Girl Guides received their All Round Cords, the highest honotin Guiding, at a special ceremony held June 20.
