The late Mr. Egener served four years in the British Comnionwealth Air Training Plan with the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War. He is survied by his wife, Elizabeth "Bess" (Cheeseman) Egener; his step, mother, Evelyn Egener of London; his brother, Judge Frederick T. Egener of Owen Sound and family; sons, Lt. Col. I.D, Mark Egener of Calgary and William John MacEwan "Cew" Egener L.L.B., B.A., of Godetich, the sons of his former wife Katheline M.C. Egener of London; his daughter-in-law Julia and grandchildren Peter and Louise of Calgary and daughter- in-law_Carol and grandchildren Chaley ( Charles) and Kristen of Goderich. A funeral service was held at the A. Millard George Funeral Home chapel on Tuggsday, June 26 alt l p.m. with the Rt. Rev. Detwyn D. Jones officiating. "Cremation followed. At the request of Mr. Egener, donations may be made to the London and Middlesex Lung Association, the London and District Association for the Mentally Retarded, the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice. CHARLES ALTON MA'CEY Charles Alton Macey of Huronview died in Alexandra- �1 artne and' General Hospital, Goderich on Friday, June 22 at the" age of 90. He was born in Toronto on January 27, 1894 to Charles William and Annie (Garrett) Macey. The late Mr. Macey was retired as a buyer for the automotive industry. He was a member of the United Church. He married Janet May Robinson of London on October 1, 1921 in Toronto. She predeceased him. A funeral service was held at Stiles Funeral Home In Goderich on Monday, June 25 at 2 p.m. The Reverend John D.M. Wood of Victoria Street United Church officiated. Pallbearers were Robert Robinson, Brian Robinson, Ted McLean, Al Woodrow and Bob Murray. The Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies' Auxiliary of Branch 109 held a Legion service at the funeral home on Sunday evening, June 24 at 7 p.m. Interment was in the Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. WILFRED WALLIS FISHER Wilfred Wallis Fisher of Colborne Township died at his home on Thursday, June21 at the ageof75. He was born in Bayfield on August 2, 1908 to Arthur and Evelyn (Wallis) Fisher. The late Mr. Fisher was a retired labourer with the Department of Highways. He is survived . by his wife, the former Kathleen Williams; three sisters, Mrs. Irvine (Edith) Tebbutt and Mrs. Kenneth (Reta) Holmes, both of Goderich Township and Mrs. James (Lorrine) Young of Goderich; and two brothers, Leonard and Arnold, both of Colborne Township. He was predeceased by one brother, Elmer. A funeral service was held at McCallum Funeral Home in Goderich on Saturday, June 23 at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend G.L. Royal of Knox Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers were nephews Bruce Holmes, Jack Tebbutt, Ron Young, Jeff Fisher, Keith Fisher and Bruce Fisher. Flower bearers were nephews Doug Fisher and Dan Willituns. Interment was in Colborne Cemetery. MRS. DOROTHY J. JOHNSTON Mrs. Dorothy J. Johnston of 898 Dundas Street, London died in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, on Saturday, June 23 in her 71st year. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; one son, William Leitch of London; one daughter, Patricia McCoy of London; one sister, Mrs. Miria Vanstone of Goderich; two brothers, Joseph Durnin of Goderich and John Edward-Durnin of .Dungannon; four grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. She. was predeceased bya brother, James Durnin in 1983 and -:a son, John Edward Durnin in 1979. A funeral service was held at the Needham Funeral Chapel in London on Tuesday, June 26 at 1: p.m. The Reverend o C.B. Carr of Dundas Street Center United Church officiated. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Kingsbridge Comment Students enjoy play day By Maureen Stapleton Colleen Van Oach and Lisa Card Track and field competitors travelled to Goderich to compete and we did quite well On June 15 Kindergarten to grade 3 had play day. There was a tie for first place: Team 3 and team 4. Team 3 were Joyelle Foran, John S. Dalton, Ben Brophy, Colleen Dalton and Tracy I,eBreton. Team 4 were Tammy Hogan, Edward Courtney, Christ- opher Hogan, Kim Wilson and . Carrie O'Connor. The second place team was team 5: Lorie Nicholson, Cory Sherratt, Yvonne Bowler, Jason Boily and Julia Poganatz. Third place was team 1: Jane Brophy, John Bowler, Connie Nicholson, Angela Card and Joe Morgan Dalton. On Tuesday the grade 7 and 8 class cleaned and weeded the garden and flower beds for Brother Carl because he is in the hospital. We hope he gets well soon. On Wednesday Student Council elections were held for next year. The new president is Christine Connelly, first vice is Jimbo Sinnett, second vice is Patti Durnin, treasurer is Wendy Miltenburg and secret- ary is Sarah Brophy. STOP IN TO C,H1SH Thursday was a;:''50s" Day and prizes were awarded to the people who dressed up the best. Winners from grade 1 to 3 were Angela Card 'and Robin Paolin. Winners from grade 4 to 8 were Rhonda Hogan and Armand Forged. The students also enjoyed a baseball• game in which grades 4 - 6 the teachers played grades 7 - 8, while grades 1 - 3 did the cheerleading. Better luck next time, grades 4 - 6 and teachers. On Friday the children enjoyed hot dog day and the mini olympics in the afternoon when the students were divided into teams which chose the name of a country for their team` and played games against other teams. The grade 8 graduation exercises will be held this evening with a dinner and awards presentation following mass. Congratula-, tions to the graduates and may you go on to high school and fulfill your goals in life. The students wish to express their appreciation to the teachers, Mrs. Eedy, Mrs. Hogan, Mrs. Ferguson, Miss Devlin, Mrs. McDonagh and Mr. Sharp for a good year.
