Katie Marie, on Tuesday, June 19, 1984 at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital. Goderich, a wee sister for Joel. T>~iird granddaughter for Bill and Marie Park and 22 great grandchild for Gertrude Park. It was a beautiful day on Sunday when the annual memorial service was held at Dungannon cemetery. The call to worship was given by Rev. R. Roberts. Musical selections were given by Mr. N. Dunsmoor. The scripture reading and address were given by Rev. Roberts. Two hymns, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, and Softly and Tenderly, were sung. Two minutes silence was observed for the 1983-84 honour 4-n41. Laura Pollock, Ben Park. Congratulations to life long residents of this area Frank and Mary Glenn who celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on Sunday, with a family supper at the home of their son. Funeral service was held on Monday from MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow. SLOW PITCH TOURNAMENT The Dungannon Agricultural Society'is hosting its 7th annual Men's Slo-Pitch tournament this weekend. June 29. and 30 and July 1. Formerly. the tournament has been held on the first weekend in August. This year. 16 teams are competing in a true double knock out. In this type of tournament. each team keeps playing until it loses two games. Trophies will he awarded to the top two teams. The winners will also receive S400 while $300 will he the prize for the runners up. As an added attraction, ball players and fans will be treated to a free dance on Saturday evening, June 30, from 9 to 1 with the Star Spinners providing the music. At 10 p.m. a special draw will be held for all 16 teams involved in the tournament with the winning team receiving $100. On Sunday, a light buffet will be available at the Dungannon Hall from 2.p.m. to8 p.m. Also. on Sunday, the Dungannon -Nile Youth Group will show films for the children from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dungannon United Church for 50c per child. Refreshments will be available at a very reasonable cost. Teams taking part in the tournament are: Port Albert Pirates, Kingsbridge, Lucknow Outlaws. Lucknow Crystallizers, Goderich Green Machine, Dungannon Blue Devils. Goderich Chryslers, Goderich Ernie's Road- house Raiders, Benmiller Corn Huskers, Blyth Houstons, Lanesville Lords, Port Albert Bulldogs. Nile. Carlow. Blyth Bee Line Boomers.
