The holidays passed oft very quietly
in town. The weather was excellent.
There was a large number of •,visitors
in town and many availed themselves

days away from home. On Good Fri-

joy ed a game of hockey on the rink
something unusual for Good Friday.

a fine address on. "Patriotism and
Duty," handed the token to 'Mr. Bac-
reit, in irecognition of his , valuable:
servces as a Mason. (during u i

bership of 56 years, and 53 years as
a Past Master. Mr. Eacrett made a
most feeling ,reply, and at the close
shook hands with all the ,members
as they left the' lodge room.
'Mr. Eacrett was born in Queen's
County-, Ireland, in ,1837, and came to
Canada with the family in 1852. He
spent all his days until coming to
Brantford, in Exeter, :and he and bis
wife have seven children, Richard,

Brantford; George, Edmonton; Mrs.
Beavers, Exeter, and Mrs. Turnbull
of Farquhar. He hies been an ,active.
