The popular Kincardine Collegiate group, Knights
of Jazz, will be performing in Goderich this Sunday
in Court House Park at 7 p.m. The Knights of Jazz
have
performed In England and across Ontario.

Laketown Band will be
pleased to present the
very popular and talentOd
Knights of .razz from the
Kincardine District
Collegiate.
This much sought-after
group, under the direc-
tion of Blake Smith, has
twice toured in Northern
Ontario and has played a
series of concerts in
Eastern Ontario. They
have wonfirst place
awards at music festivals
in Owen Sound and
Stratford. Last year they
were selected to.
represent Canada at the
International Youth
Music Festival'" in
Harrogate, England:
Their forthcoming
engagements include
.concerts at Ontario .Place
on June 25 arid, the Old
Boys' Reunion - at' Kin-
cardine ,i:n August. The
Laketown Band's
executive feels very
fortunate in acquiring the
Knights of Jazz as par-
ticipants in the Sunday
evening ,series of con-
certs.
This one concert only
will be held in Court
House Square. The blocks
between Colborne and
Hamilton Streets will be
closed to through traffic
but will be open to those
who find it necessary to
listen` from their cars.
The audience is en-
couraged to bring lawn

Child rescued

of an 18 -month-old child
trapped in a bathroom
last week.

explained that on June 16
the department answered
a call tram the home of
Dr. H. Clugston.
Apparently the couple's
young son managed to
trap himself In an open
bathroom drawer, which
in turn prevented the
door from opening.
Within a few minutes, a
fireman crawled through
the bathroom window on
the second floor of the
home and released the
child. Chief Crothers
reported that despite
being a bit shaken by all
the attention, the toddler
w;ts in good health.
