As the schopl year
ends, many activities are
taking place at Robertson
School. Classe% are
taking trips, Awards Day
wasi ' held, baseball
tournaments were held
and most important of
all, Grade 8's held their
graduation. They are DPW
on- their way to becoming
high school students.
The Grade 8's
graduatedon June 24. We
wish all the studnets a
good year in high school.

One /ine day, Mrs.
Brown's Grade 3 class
rode their bikes to ,the
Pioneer Museum. For
lunch, they went to Judith
Gooderham Park and had
some games and treats.
After -filling up with food,
they rode over to the
Huron Historical Gaol.
John Hruden enjoyed
the coffin section of the
museum. Emma
Hollingworth liked the
stuffed English rabbit
and Bradley Hill liked
Freddy, the dummy who
lies in the cot at the gaol.

3 class had a fine day out
at the Freeman's Farm.

The children particularly
ehjoyed watching the
frogs of which there were
all sizes. The four
mothers who came along
were a great help and we
thank them.
On Monday, June 16
Mrs. Pare's class put on a
roller skating time at the
arena from 4-5 p.m. Mrs.
Pare's class raised $33.50
for their trip to the Bruce
Nuclear Power Plant and
the Bruce Agricultural
Plant. They certainly had
a very informative tour of
the plant and learned a
lot.
Robertson Memorial
did very well at the
baseball tournament held
at Brookside School on
Wednesday, June 18,. The_
i-S—prikia-"Weif, co-
operated and managed to
win three of the four
penants.
The junior boys' team
won the pennant, coached
by Ms. Van Pypen. The
• junior girls were coached
by Mr. Scratch and also
won the • pennant. The
senior girls' team
coached by Miss Braid
also won. The senior boys
coached by "Mr. Ritchie
ca,me in second.
It was a super day.
Thanks tothe players and.
coaches.
Awards Day is always
quite an important event
at the school. Students
are recognized for hard
work and achievement in
all areas from academic
to sports.
Awards Day was held
on Friday, June 20 and
many trophies and bars
were handed out.

Robertson held its
Playday for the. primary
classes.
Some of the events
were: musical hoops,
tulips, laddei2 travel,
blanket ball, frozen bean
bag tag, parachute
toesies, big turtle, snake
over the mountain and
hot potato.
All the students who
participated had fun and
were treated to popsicles
for their great -playing.

be detoured off Highway
21 for three hours on June
14 when an entire tractor -
trailer 1-oad of corn.had to
be cleaned up.
The Mack truck owned
by Huron Grain of
Parkhill4ipped on its side
as it was rounding the
ramp from Highway 82
onto Highway 21. The
entire load of corn was
spilled across the high-
way.
