PAY, 4114g 1.91)0 from north pickstrawerries for jam Huron County residents eta .not need to be told about' the fabulous Strawberries that area farmers grow, but it seems that the word. is spreading. Last Sunday, June 22, Russell and Shirley Litt, flew down to Goderich in their Cessna 172 to visit with relatives and to pick berries. They arrived for their two-day stay from Foleyet Ontario, a WA community located about - 70 miles from Timmins, to visit with Shirley's sister and her husband, Arnold and Dorothy Craig of Goderich. This is the second year that the Litts have made the 550 mile trip from the north. Last year, they were able to,return home with over• 100 quarts of ripe berries, their reward for only two hour's of picking. "We'd like to do the same this year," Mrs. Litt said. "We're going to spend the whole day in this patch, so the plane should be full when we leave." From the fields of John Hazlitt, east of Goderich, the Litts will pick enough strawberries to make a winter's supply of jam.
